I've been going here for 5 years now since I was 16 and I can't give this establishment enough praise. Being with a single stylist that takes care of you for so long is really nice, but the best part is being able to trust the other staff with cutting my hair when she isn't available. This was my second time at Hair Saloon for Men. The place is outright awesome. They all know what they are doing, which should be a given but you would be surprised at the different companies. I walked in for my appointment and they offered me my COMPLIMENTARY beer, it truly does not get any better than that. All in all I pay 30$ each time, that's with an 8$ tip included. 10/10 would recommend. read more

AN AMAZING PLACE! we googled barbers for men in O'Fallon and this came up, so we said why not! normally my boyfriend likes getting his hair cut by men but we decided to try this place out and it was awesome! they did a great job! took their time and didn't rush at all! very calm and chill atmosphere. complimentary drinks and a few games were presented to us while i waited for my boyfriend to get his haircut. they even gave him a free scalp massage coupon for the next time we go back! will for sure be returning when we are back in this area! read more

Walked in a person there to greeter you and check you in and offer a beverage. Looks very nice and clean has sports in the waiting room. When I was getting my hair cut I was warmly asked how I was doing today. Friendly staff and also price for a basic haircut is 17$ little bit on the higher side but for aesthetic and friendly environment it was alright from the standard 15$. Next time I'll get the more deluxe options. read more

For the past six years I have been getting my hair cut at Sports Clips, but the past few times I have not been impressed - not so much from the hair cuts themselves, but more because of the atmosphere. The waiting room is often full, including several kids playing on the floor as if it was their living room, etc. So, after hearing radio ads, I decided to give the Hair Saloon for Men a try. Based upon my first visit, I was pleased. You enter into a warm inviting environment that is more like a lounge, than a waiting room, and are greeted by a cheerful receptionist, and offered a beverage. The area where they cut your hair is more inviting and private compared to Sports Clips and all the unisex salons. Each station is partitioned off, and included its own hair washing station, so you don't have to go somewhere else to get it washed. My hairstylist was friendly and a good conversationalist, but not too chatty. I've had it both ways, where its either dead silent, or the person talks your ears off, but this was a pleasant in-between. Most importantly, she gave a good haircut. The one thing that keeps it a 4 instead of a 5 is that it is a little more than some other places, but certainly lower than a high-end salon. My cut and shampoo was $20 before tip. I plan on returning to the Hair Saloon for my next hair cut. read more

I was open minded coming into this place, but wasnt impressed. I was not offered my free beverage and did not get asked what kinda of haircut I wanted. Just was given the cheapest one. Which wasnt cheap at all. My experience was no different then my usual barbershop I go to for HALF the price. read more

Most miserable excuse for a haircut I have experienced in quite some time. Don't waste your money. The decor and gitchy complementary crap doesn't make up for their incompetence with a pair of shears. You'll be better off at the cheapest discount salon (supercuts or the like),than going here. Can't even pull off a chinese bowl cut, much less style your hair. My haircut yesterday showed up with more corners than a rubics cube this morning, and she left the edges so rought, that it is downright painful. read more

Best place to get your haircut in the O'Fallon area. I've been going there since we moved out here 5 years ago so its hard for me to comment on the price of competing businesses when I don't go anywhere else. Cindy, the receptionist, is great. This place is the absolute WORST! They are about as friendly as dying zombies. They listen about as well as a three year old. HORRIBLE!! Will never go back. It's a place for old men with hardly any hair! Go in with long sideburns and they hack them off for some unknown reason. I tried this place once and had a bad experience. I thought, maybe it was the "stylist" and went back for more pain. SAME thing. "I don't want the sides short, keep the sideburns long, really just a trim and clean up". SHORT sides! Hacked off sideburns! Totally short hair!!!! These chicks are middle aged, not 20 year olds! What a JOKE. $22.00 for non-smiling, non-listening, non-whatever!!!!! This time, she asked if I wanted gel in my hair. I replied, "sure"....She puts the gel in my WET hair, combs it straight back and says, I'll be back with your towel and mint.
