They have standard hours, open 9am to 5pm most days, until 9pm Thursday's and until 4pm Saturday's, not open Sunday. They do any style you would like, I've seen people come in and have all their hair cut off, others gone from dark to light, some with intricate designs. I have waist length hair and every time I come I let the girls style my hair however they like which they all enjoy. You can see them wracking their brains to try to come up with something new and exciting. I've been here when plenty of kids come through and they usually are able to keep them entertained while getting their hair done, either by changing the channel on the tv or having one of thee other girls distract them. As a regular myself I've noticed they have a ton of other regulars. I would highly recommend everything come to this salon.

Great for kids and adults-Pixie/ N. James Hair Salon!! My kids and I needed a haircut and a friend…read morerecommended Pixies to us as I needed to find a kids friendly salon ( there are not many around) Upon short notice we got in with 3 haircuts&blowdry. Since we are new to inner west our first visit was to Broadway mall and will never go back to the hairdresser there again (overpriced and rushed). We loved Pixie in Leichhardt. It is also called James Hair (!) . It is very inexpensive for the service and time you are receiving! We girls love our haircuts! James and Alex of James Hair were professional and kind, with great care and effort. They had kids books, and portable DVD players with kids movies and candy on our way out. We will be back for sure!! Thanks for the great service!

Great hair cuts, would highly recommend to anyone who lives close by…read more I went there once for a last minute appointment and was honestly astonished by the quality of the cut, and for a haircut to be only $30 compared to others who do 40 or even in the 60's is outrageous but this place keeps it authentic. I now go here whenever I need a haircut, but look, it isn't the best haircut I've ever gotten but it's definitely up there and when it is cheaper then everywhere else, its 100 percent worth it.

As far as Barbers in rouse hill, theres only a this one and a men's only salon in the town centre…read more (unlike a suburb where i lived, there were plentiful barbers) I had been to this place the first time months ago, i had the owner cut the hair. It was just Way overpriced $23 (for a barber?... mind you in areas like Parramatta and Auburn, its usually $8 - 13 for mens hair cuts). and for something that you are not happy with, that is just too steep! the other day i returned for the 2nd time a few months later due to a last minute hair cut for a special party. i had the owner cut it again, (normally the owners cut better than the staff, due to the owners mentality of upholding the business name). unfortunately this time, TOTAL RUBBISH! and here is why: 1.) when he says "cut a little bit off?" you can forget about any style or shape. What was meant to look like a Mow hawk, it looks like a blob/shaved head almost. 2.) He is extremely rough with pushing your head as well as very rough with the comb around your ear. constantly swiping your ear with the edge of the comb. and believe me, more than once is not a good feel. 3.) in relation to being rough, he is extremely rough with the razor blade to clean the edges. forget about asking to "sharpen the sideburns", i could have done a better job myself in the mirror. and not to mention i received a NASTY cut where the ear joins the side of the face. He never apologized, but dabs some rubbing alcohol. the back of my head looks shocking! Its by far, one of the WORST hair cuts I've had as well as customer experience. i can straight out tell you that an 8$ hair cut in sydney's South West can do a MUCH better and pleasing outcome. This has secured the fact that i would NEVER come back here EVER AGAIN! PERIOD! It has ruined my day and left me feeling depressed. Note: he has an off-sider, either a business Partner or an employee. I'm not sure how he is.

I was a customer at Michael's for many years and never had any problems (or hideous haircuts)…read more Since moving away from the area a few years ago, I was curious to see if things were still as fun and vibrant as I remember. So last week I popped in for a quick trim, and long-winded gossip session. Besides a few new faces, nothing has changed. Michael's is still is still a great salon, offering good value and a fun follicle experience. I've only ever had my hair cut by Michael, but from what I have seen, the other stylists are more than capable, and work hard to ensure you receive the results you want. If you're looking for an affordable salon that offers exceptional customer service, Michael's is where you want to be.

The staff were all very nice but seems in a constant hurry, everyone was rushing, the girl that was colouring my hair was also colouring/cutting/shampooing other's during my appointment. It seems a tad chaotic, to the point that they over bleached my hair, that fried and broke off 2 inches from my roots.(all of this with the many treatments they recommended) I also had to go back in the next day as I noticed they missed spots if colour. Which they fixed... Your appointment will be rushed and you will be over-paying for your service. Just save yourself the time and money !
