I've been going here since I was a Young child. Maybe 8 or 9 years old. Joe has always been kickass, I've never been disappointed with him. I went for a haircut back in May, and sadly Joe was booked for the day, so I decided to go with that filipino-mexican looking guy. Jose I think? Anyways the guy fucking butchered My hair. What I asked Him to do was simple, maybe He tried to make Me look retarded? He had an appointment after Me, and the woman had shown up early. SO THE FUCKER REFUSED TO DRY MY HAIR. I don't know how he expected to know what it would look like with out drying it, but the guy kicked Me out before He was even finished. He said "it's warm outside, just go and it'll dry" fucking bastard deserves alopecia. If I had spent my $70.00 at the LCBO instead, gotten piss drunk, and cut My own hair with a weed wacker it would've looked better. And so I ended up seeing my exgirlfriend looking like the serial killer from No Country for Old Men. FML, and F that probably Mexican, but maybe filipino guy! I purchased some Powder Puff by Kevin Murphy for $26 only to discover the container had barely any product in it. One container should last about a month of daily usage....I got 5 uses from it, and I didnt use very much each time.I had purchased it once before so I knew approx. how many uses I should have gotten out of it. When I told the owner Carmen, she basically said "Well bring in your receipt and I'll see if my rep can do anything"...Her rep, like its the reps decision?? I offered that perhaps employess/someone had been using it from the shelf... (its possible, I dont know how else it could have been used up) and she assured me that wasn't possible because she was always there blah blah...meanwhile my friend Dawn used to work there and locked up on her own all the time. Bottom line, would it have killed her to give me the benefit of the doubt and replace the product? She said "well if I do that for you then everyone will want it" lmao, really? I have had my hair severely damaged three times by various salons in the city. A friend recommended hair dynamixs on Queen Sreet East. I went and had my hair fixed by Dylan. He highlighted my hair and did an amazing job!!! He fixed all the irregularities and blended everything perfect and without damage!!!! He also recommend a treatment that I purchased. After two at home treatments my hair repaired mote than after one year and hundreds of dollars using other treatments recommend by various stylists. Also he told me of another treatment in salon that fixes your hair and stays for 6 months. I went back a week later and had it done . It's amazing!!!! Worth every penny My hair has no split ends and thev frizz is gone! It looks like new hair . I didn't have to cut any off either!!. I'm so happy .I'd recommend Dylan to everyone. Had a hair cut here a few years ago. I was shopping for a new stylist. I got a group on so I could check out this salon. I was with the lowest level stylist in the salon, she was super young, had worked there for like a month. And she told me her experience was limited. I found it dirty here. There were dust bunnies on the floor and in the corners. There was lots of dust covering the work stations. It's is supposed to be a high end salon yet no one offered me a drink, I had to ask for a glass of water. The hair cut / colour was okay. I never went back. First impressions are important and I feel like if you are offering a group on you need to show the recipient the best service- the best stylist - the cleanest salon - you want to woo me. I'm not super picky about my hair but they didn't win me over and I looked elsewhere for a stylist. read more

I just moved to the area in June of this year. A neighbour recommended this salon to me and I'm grateful! (Thanks J) Because I can only book short notice for hair styling I see who is available at the time. I've been to several of the stylists and I think they are all very skilled. I love the non-salon, cozy atmosphere of this place. I've always hated the typical mall type salons with blasting music and too much ceramic tile. The staff are all wonderful at making the clients feel welcome. Mostly, I have to thank Connie for being an amazing esthetician. She has made me very comfortable with services I never used to do that I love doing now. She's not only really good at what she does, but it's obvious that she loves it. I would also like to recommend this Salon AND IRMA! :) I purchased a Groupon after having an awful experience at a salon in St. Clair and I must say I'm happy I did. My appointment at Hair Dynamix was with the lovely Irma. Once we met, I could sense she was a sweetheart. Seeming to be in no mad rush, she assessed my hair as I showed her a pic of the "look" I was after. She and I spoke at some length about my hair type and my desired cut, length etc. She then made me a much-needed cappuccino and washed, trimmed and styled my lop-sided cut away. My hair now has definition and is pretty much what I wanted. I have decided that Irma is my go-to gal! A definite keeper! When i made my first appointment with Hair Dynamics more than 10 years ago my stipulation was that i wanted the best stylist and that's how I met Joe and family. I have never been disappointed. I walk out of the salon with a smile on my face feeling on top of the world. Joe has seen me through all my little idiosyncracies, full colour, no colour, a dash of colour and now that my hair is white in places, darker in others and grey in some I just enjoy a good cut. Hair Dynamix is my favourite salon now. Everyone there is so kind, I have had my hair done by a few people at the salon but I chose to stick with Matt as my main hairstylist! He's the best! Matt does my colour PERFECTLY and I really enjoy talking with him. For those of you with curly hair, you will want to ask for Dylan. Dylan specializes in curly hair and he understands there are different types of curly hair. He knows the perfect cut to make your curls look beautiful and is very knowledgeable about what products work well. As well, he is fantastic with colour and is an artist!
