Hair Cuttery - Hair Stylists Near Me - Vero Beach, Florida

Worst haircut I have had in years. I will not return. Sadly, when I called to make the appointment, I was told I would be with someone who knows how to cut short hair. She didn't! Not trained properly. I am a former hairstylist so I am currently trying to repair the bad cut...again! read more

Hair Cuttery - highlights , blowout , cut how amazing !!!!! - Hair Stylists Near Me - Vero Beach, Florida

I went for a styled haircut. My hair was layered previously and all I needed was a trim. Nicole used an electric shaver and shaved my sides as if I was a punk rocker. It's been over 6 weeks and I still can't get a decent haircut because it grows out unevenly. Beware of this place. read more

PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW! Very upsetting experience at the Hair Cuttery on US-1 and 12th involving Nicole and Kevin. I left work early for a 1 PM appointment that had been scheduled and confirmed through Hair Cuttery's text system. When I arrived, Nicole incorrectly told me my appointment had actually been the day before and labeled me a "no show." Even after I showed proof that my appointment was confirmed for that same day, there was no apology or professional handling of the situation. Instead, the interaction became dismissive and uncomfortable. Since the barber I originally booked with was unavailable, Nicole recommended Kevin for my haircut. I clearly explained that I wanted to keep my medium-length hairstyle and only clean it up slightly. Unfortunately, Kevin cut far more hair than requested and trimmed my sideburns so unevenly and short that parts of my scalp were visibly showing. When I pointed out the issue, excuses were made and an attempt was made to darken the area with color instead of properly acknowledging the mistake. What should have been a professional correction quickly turned into a humiliating experience. The most shocking part was what happened afterward. During the discussion about fixing the haircut, Nicole became aggressive, got close to my face, ripped the salon cape off me, yelled "GET OUT," and continued screaming in front of customers and staff. The manager, Liza, witnessed the incident. I spent months growing my hair out only to have it ruined in minutes and then be treated with disrespect afterward. A bad haircut is already frustrating, but the aggressive and humiliating treatment that followed made this one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a salon. The lowest of the lowest... read more

Went in for a simple stacked bob cut and style. Kevin worked on my hair for over 2!!! hours, added product after product and did an awful job. Did not listen to what I asked for. One side is longer than the other. An overall horrible job and experience. This pic was taken right after I came home from this place. I'm very disappointed and sad about what he did to my hair. It is going to take months to grow out, to where I can get a decent cut by a professional, that knows what they're doing. read more

Kevin is a wonderful stylist , him and his fellow men and women stylists are great . He gave me a shampoo . And cleaned up my edges . Had me looking super model status . He made me feel right at home . He's very nice , welcoming , greeted me with a handshake and smile . The ladies who work there were also very nice . It was a pleasant atmosphere and Kevin did a wonderful job on me . He also does great highlights and gets the ladies together . Hopefully I'm reviewing the correct location . This is the hair cutlery off 12th st right off of hwy 1 . I've found my new stylist Nicole. This is my third visit to have her highlight and cut my hair. I am so pleased with her ability to make my hair look exactly the way I want it to look. She is very knowledgeable in her chosen profession. She is personable, professional and a very talented stylist! I definitely recommend Nicole as the stylist you need to see for all of hair needs. Thank you Nicole for taking your time to beautify my hair, it is in such a better healthy condition than previously. Kudos to Nicole! read more

I really like Nicole, she listens and really cares . I'll be going to her for as long as she's there .

The woman who did my hair had a very poor attitude, did not do what I asked and make negative comments about my feedback when I asked for adjustments in the style. She made me feel very uncomfortable and used about half a can of hairspray on my hair when I wanted a float style. I got home and had to wash my hair and was ultimately late to my event. Would not ever go back Pic of what I wanted vs what I got below read more

Stephanie is the best!!! I've paid double what she charges for a lousy hair cut - thank god I found Stephanie, she is the best!!!

I have been a customer of this Hair Cuttery salon for more than 20 years. My wife and I brought our children here and now we bring our grandchildren, who look forward to the experience and to the dum dum lollipops they receive. The experience has been great for all of us. From the time I entered the shop, the whole staff was friendly and inviting. I especially appreciate Lily and the manager, Susie Otterburn, who was very accommodating and let me know they wanted me to have a great visit. I've always had capable stylists and most recently received excellent care from Connie. Connie is highly skilled and very personable and I would surely come back for a repeat of the same high quality service. Thanks, Hair Cuttery! read more

Stephanie did an excellent job on my hair. I went in feeling like I needed a wig cause my hair was such a mess. I left feeling so much better, my hair has been thinning Stephanie made my hair look much fuller and stylish. She definitely is an expert on hair. Thank you so much Stephanie. read more

My hair was longer than the reference picture and I told her the reference was too short I only wanted the style but to only cut half and inch off my longest layer. My hair will not be touching my shoulders when fully dry. She said "it's the same length as the picture" which I didn't ask for in the first place either. Don't see Stephanie :// read more

Lisa is a great stylist. She listens, is careful and meticulous. She is friendly without being over the top, I appreciate her!

Don't go here! I want availability for my favorite hair person ever! Ha! No, really, if you want a really good hair stylist- namely, Carolyn - this is where to go. She is the best. A big self esteem-boost and everything. The other stylists, receptionists and everyone e are pleasant too. They sell great products and dont try to sell something you don't need or want either. It's not a luxury salon or anything, but who cares? It is clean, has talented people, and it is affordable. Carolyn has a lot of male clientele as well, as she does excellent cuts and grooming (as I've heard and witnessed). Really, ask for her. Just say Elaine sent you! She is great! Can't say enough about her, Lisa and others. And, you can go to Publix and shop while waiting on your better half, friend, Mom or whomever. One-stop shopping. read more

Lisa did a great job with my highlights and haircut! I'm definitely coming back again

As long as I have been going to this Hair Cuttery Beverly has been my stylist. Never disappoints. Always friendly, courteous and she makes sure I get whatever discounts are available. She is very personable and really knows how to cut hair. read more

I had the worst experience here. Save your money and go to someone who actually cares about cutting hair

I had a great experience with my stylist Kim, she's great! But I won't be returning. Unfortunately, the owner had a conversation with another customer regarding politics (I remained mute as I have different thoughts then they do). I truly believe that everyone has the right to believe and support what they want to, this is the United States. However, they stated that if you don't have the same beliefs as they do, then we shouldn't come to Florida. Therefore, since I don't share in their beliefs I have no choice but to find a salon that will want my business regardless of my political thoughts. read more

Called in today to see if they could work me in. Had me booked and ready to go with an appointment in 10 minutes. Arrived and waited just a couple minutes and they were ready to go! I'm not a "hair person" and never sure how to tell them what I want, but Caroline listened and gave me some suggestions. My cut came out PERFECT. Exactly what I wanted. She took her time and was extremely friendly and efficient. It looks amazing. The Salon was very clean and the staff were extremely friendly. I felt very comfortable as this was my first cut since COVID. Highly recommend this salon and Caroline is the BEST!!!! read more

Will not be returning. Charged my daughter for signature cut but received no shampoo or conditioning services. She only trimmed the back of her hair and we were in and out in less than 5 minutes. Seems like she was just trying to take advantage of a quick buck rather than actually providing the service that was charged. read more

I had a keratin treatment that did not work, it was supposed to last 3 to 6 months . They said you had to use their products for it to work. They made me vine ba k to have my hair washed again and refused to refund any portion of the treatment! Awful customer service!! read more

Waiting to the last minute for a haircut from my regular barber before leaving on a trip to Washington state, I found myself simply out of luck. I needed a haircut - my barber was in Miami at a baseball game. Searching for a place open on Sunday, I found the Hair Cuttery at Vero Mall. Lucky me, I even found an online coupon providing a discount for the first-time customer. Polite and courteous staff - only a five minute wait before I was in Gabriella's chair getting my wash and cut. Knowing I had a coupon - which probably cut into her portion of the fee - Gabriella set about cutting my hair, even trimming my mustache and eyebrows upon request and direction. No issue or problems - Gabriella cut my hair right the first time. Shop is conveniently located in the Vero Mall on U.S. 1. Plenty of parking and easy to find location. I will keep Gabriella in mind next time I'm in a pinch and need a "back-up" hair stylist. William E. Lewis, Jr. Vero Beach, Florida. read more

Chelsea was very nice. However I was quoted over the phone $34 for blow drying and flat ironing my hair. They didn't have to wash my hair just rinse it out. Didn't use conditioner and only blow dry my hair. Love the hair dresser but not their prices. Needless to say I won't be returning. I give Chelsea a 4 Star the prices a 2. read more

I had my hair done by a young Spanish fellow today and when he finished I was awed by how beautiful my hair looked. More streaks than anyone there had ever done, didn't put me under the hair dryer so my hair didn't get dried out and my hair came out shining with a beautiful hair cut. I have been here before and have had some bad experiences, so I have to say how grateful I am to this fellow. THANK YOU Hawley read more

Cindy was fantastic, if your looking for a great haircut without costing you a fortune I highly recommend the Hair Cuttery

Extremely bad service and attitude toward the patrons. I arrived when there was 1 other customer getting a cut. Or attempting to as the stylist was too busy on the phone to continue. I knew I'd be next but the 1 other stylist was obviously late. Another customer walked in. Finally the 2nd stylist arrived, not bothering to greet either customer. She motioned me to the chair. I sat. And sat. And sat. She was on the phone trying to find something in the desk. The other customer & I rolled our eyes at each other. The phone distraction continued. Finally I got up and stated that this was not the place for me & complained about the lack of service. The other customer followed me out. Too many other salons exist in Vero Beach to be treated like this. read more

I highly recommend this shop and will be going back! Thanks for a pleasant experience!! read more

My regular stylist (from another salon) had to cancel my appointment, which left me in a bind. I had a graduation ceremony to attend and was in desperate need of color. I felt bad having to walk in to Hair Cuttery and ask for a lengthy service (cut, color, highlight) and to be "squeezed" in, but Michelle had a fantastic can-do attitude, and worked hard to get me in without having to wait too long. Although she herself was booked, she expressed confidence that Jill could do what I was looking to have done. Jill gave me an awesome new 'do, and did her best to make sure that I was happy. It was the above and beyond kind of service that I got from the ladies here, the kind of extra special service that I didn't think existed anymore. I can't express how much I appreciated it! Thanks ladies! read more

Came with my boyfriend while he was getting a clipper cut. 2's on the side, 3 on top. After she finished the top, he had to ask her to go over the left top side again because it was noticeably not as trimmed at the other side. We left, went to publix next store and I noticed on the back of his head he had long pieces of hair that noticeably stuck out. So afterwards we went back so he could get it uniformly clipped. read more

Had one of the best haircuts and conversations today with a professional and kind stylist, Danielle. Granted, I don't have much hair-but the cut, shampoo and care made me feel like a hundred bucks! She said they are undergoing renovations over the next few days, and is very excited about how the flooring, stations, lighting, etc is going to make it up to date. If the renovations are anything like the stylists--this salon will be a great place for residents or visitors! read more
