I love these ladies, and I am glad to be a regular customer for over two years now. They do a beautiful job shaping my nails, and that is the main reason I kept coming here initially. Although, now they are my friends, so it's relaxing and fun. I do gel mani and pedi. They have a good color selection and they take the time to do a detailed job, but also work efficiently. I have a weak thumbnail from a childhood injury, and they take the time to strengthen it either with silk, powder, or a stronger gel. I've always called ahead and been able to have an appointment same day. Now, I am saved in their phone so I can even text which makes life easy. This is my favourite salon for natural nails in the city. The ladies here are lovely and do a durable and detail oriented job. Not worth going anywhere else! However, they are never open at 10:30. 4 years strong and I am more committed to this place than I have been to almost anything. You see, I am a recovering nail biter and I never committed to bi-monthly appointments until I found this gem of a salon. The very first experience was so good that I immediately made the commitment to STOP biting my nails and START showing up for nail maintenance! My BF and I walked in one day because he wanted a cool-guy navy blue manicure. I'm no stranger to self care appts and I have never been a "regular" at a nail salon, but when I saw the attention to detail Sung was giving my shredded little crusty nails, I was sold! This is a really great, reliable spot for manicures and pedicures. My gel nails lasted about 2.5 weeks before they even started to show signs of chipping! Also the people there are very nice and usually have the capacity for walk-ins. However, if you're looking for complicated nail art or a longer hand massage, this may not be the right spot for you. Haven't written a yelp review in years, but feel compelled to give a shoutout to the really great ladies that own and run this salon. Went in for the first time today, hopeful to get a full leg and bikini wax, pedicure, and manicure. That's, like, 2.5 hours of stuff. Miraculously they were able to take me as a walk in, suggesting I get waxed first since the nail stations were all full. Stacey was really great with the wax, she made me feel super comfortable, even made me laugh a few times. I was really impressed with her professionalism, especially since I was nervous. Leg waxes hurt! But she made it as painless as I've ever experienced. My manicure and pedicure was then tended to by two ladies at once (awesome, time-saver), all while everyone in the salon pleasantly chatted with each other about current events and cooed at their adorable little salon dog Lulu. Nails turned out great (see pic below). Price was so reasonable, too! I'm a native San Franciscan. There aren't that many neighborhood spots left in San Francisco that feel like this. I've gone here twice because it's so convenient to my house, but I've quickly learned that convenience isn't worth it if the service and work is horrible. I went there about a week ago for a pedicure and manicure, and the woman doing my toes was so aggressive that my toe is completely bruised and swollen now. I've had the hardest time walking, which is the absolute worst because I'm recovering from foot surgery on my other foot, so I'm feeling pretty down about it. Also, their service is very slow. The women chat to one another the entire time and each time it's their turn to talk, they stop what their doing and you're sitting there feeling uncomfortable. Never again. I too, can paint your nails mediocrely and talk shit about you in another language. I got you! Truly, it's THATS bad. It's right by my house so I gave it about 3 tries. Each time I got the same service, gel manicure and pedicure. The pedicure was always just ok but the jel (the more expensive service) ALWAYS chipped off after 2 days. On my last visit I asked them to redo one nail because I could tell the polish was on my cuticle and would lift. They started speaking in another language for a really long time and then didn't do the service. Clearly the were talking shit, it was obvious. Which is fine, I think it's an unspoken fact that all manicurist talk shit. I, like all other women have accepted this fact, as long as they DO the service. They were so terrible that I just refused to pay to get my nails done again for months. Until I found RAINBOW SPA on Market St. Seriously, save your money and go there instead. They have awesome service and the shit-talking is at a shockingly low rate. WHO KNEW?! You are actually able to paint nails while not making your guests feel totally uncomfortable. NEWS TO ME! The people were very nice and the price was really good, but my gel manicure on my feet only lasted 5 days. When I looked at my toes a day after I got my pedicure there was a weird lift in my big toe that became a chip a couple days later. This place is horrible. I went in to SIMPLY get my gel manicure taken off. They began to soak the gel off, and then told me they couldn't do it and stopped halfway through. When I asked why they wouldn't keep going, they said it would "take a long time." This place wanted me to climb up to get seated, which is totally impossible for me, as there is no railing to hang onto. There were other chairs in the place, but for some reason the help didn't want me to sit on those chairs. Yes, I'm heavy, but not hugely obese, and these folks made NO EFFORT to accommodate me. NONE WHATSOEVER! If you are a person with a disability or even slightly beyond 200 lbs, don't go to this place. They WILL NOT TRY TO HELP you. Crudsville! read more

I was in the area and came here to get my eyebrows waxed. Although the place seemed busy at the time, I only had to wait 5 min or so. The lady who did the eyebrow waxing was very nice. She did a good job - the wax wasn't too hot (yay! no burns), and she was gentle and attentive. It came out to $13 + tip.
