My name is Dekevious Kinsler. I had a terrible experience with Ms. Bostick as my divorce attorney…read more I hired her in January of 2021. She told me it would take about a year for my divorce to be finalized. At my Pendente Lite hearing in March 2021 I was ordered by the court to pay temporary alimony and child support. The money paid in temporary alimony does not count towards anything as far as the final settlement goes so it is important that the divorce be finalized as quickly as possible if your ex is asking for alimony after the divorce is finalized. My ex received paperwork to do her discovery in August of 2021. I didn't receive notice of discovery until October 2021 from Ms Bostick's office. The discovery paperwork is due within 30 days. I turned mine in within 2 weeks. My ex wife didn't turn hers in until April of 2022 with no objections or motions being filed by Ms Bostick. We had our mediation hearing in January of 2023. An agreement was reached. I was told that the 24 months of alimony that was agreed upon in mediation would start February 2023 and the divorce should be finalized by February 2023 because all it needed was to be signed by a judge. Months went by and still no word. Ms Bostick said it was because my ex and I couldn't agree on the life insurance and a parenting plan for my son which I said should have been brought up in mediation. Ms Bostick said we could finalize what had already been agreed upon and do the insurance and the parenting plan in a separate hearing to which I said ok and signed off on several times. I also informed her by May 2023 my ex and I had come to an agreement on the insurance and parenting plan. I also informed Ms Bostick that the paperwork from mediation stated that my 24 months of alimony wasn't supposed to start until after the final divorce decree. I was told several times by Ms Bostick that I was getting credit for the payments. I was also asking how much longer would it take for the divorce to be finalized but kept getting the runaround. In November 2024 Ms Bostick called me and acted like she didn't know that the mediation paperwork stated that my 24 months alimony didn't start until after the final divorce decree. I was furious because I told her this. I was supposed to done paying alimony in February 2025. Ms Bostick informed if I tired to fight it I would end up paying more alimony because my ex and I were still legally married while we were separated. In that additional 4 years my ex wife's attorney was allowed to drag this divorce out (With little objection from Ms Bostick) costing me tens of thousands of dollars in temporary alimony. The extra 2 years of alimony will cost me an additional $54,000. $54,000 when all it needed was a signature (No one had to go to court or anything). I didn't go to law school but it shouldn't take 2 years just to have a piece of paper signed. The divorce was finally finalized in January 2025 after me having to constantly call and email ever since December of 2025. I would not advise anyone to hire Ms Bostick as their attorney. Everyone who I have told this to tells me they want to hire my ex wife's lawyer as their attorney.

The very next day, I canceled services after the legal issue was resolved. The attorney confirmed in writing that they would stop work and refund my retainer minus minimal fees. Despite this, they never issued a refund. Instead, they later billed me $535.25, including a $222.75 "transaction fee" that was never disclosed or agreed upon. I received only about 1.25 hours of service and did not receive $4,500 worth of legal help. I've since filed formal complaints with the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility, the CFPB, and the Attorney General's Office. This experience has been deeply disappointing--especially during such a vulnerable time. I would not recommend this firm to anyone seeking clear, honest, or compassionate representation.

I had a costly high profile case that we won- which is always the goal. The other lawyer ( Lucie Brackin- Partner at Rogers, Brackin & Davis, PLLC) filed in the incorrect court knowingly. She had cost her client probably close to $1 million at the rate she was communicating as well as traveling and charging cross country fees to waste her clients money. Joe Smith at Miles Mason would have never committed that type of malpractice. If I am lucky to have found such a great attorney in a jurisdictional battle that was a set up and ploy against a single mother. I highly suggest hiring this firm. There is no way you will regret it.

After requesting her specifically to help me with a legal matter, she scheduled a consultation with me and intently heard what I sought to accomplish. 2. She is thorough. Attorney Harris made sure that I understood every step of the process of the journey ahead. This was further supported by monthly status letters recapping what had taken place and always asking if I had any questions. When I did, she promptly responded to them. 3. She is an excellent advocate in the courtroom. Being in a courtroom made me very nervous, and she represented me respectfully while making sure that I understood what was happening as hearings took place. At the end of those days, I felt calmer knowing that she took her work seriously and was respectful of the court process. I learned proper decorum and how to maintain my composure as a result of her modeling the way. 4. She loves what she does, and it shows in her emails, phone calls, visits, and in matters of the court. Every detail matters with Attorney Harris. I highly recommend her when you want to understand each part of the process, remain engaged, and be informed of the possibilities from which to make decisions for your intended outcome. The investment in her services is well worth the effort she puts into achieving your goals. Attorney Harris is a top-notch attorney and human!

I would advise others to carefully review and question the fees charged before using this law…read morefirm's services. My experience with attorney Will Underwood was very disappointing. I felt the amount requested for preparing a simple probate petition was excessive, and even the judge agreed the fee should be reduced. As a parent trying to protect my daughter's inheritance, it was upsetting to feel as though her estate was being depleted by unnecessary legal costs. Our original attorney, Kevin Childress, stated he was overloaded with cases and transferred us to Mr. Underwood. When I expressed concerns about the fees, it was implied that I was seeking free services, which was never the case. I simply wanted fair and reasonable representation. After receiving payment from my daughter's estate on two separate occasions, Mr. Underwood later chose to withdraw from representing us. Attempts to communicate directly were unsuccessful, and I was instead referred to another attorney, Danielle Woods. Overall, this experience left me feeling frustrated and taken advantage of. I hope others do their research carefully before retaining this firm's services.
