Haffner's Service Station - Gas Stations Near Me - Hudson, New Hampshire

Tried to put air to my tire and it actually lost air due to broken machine. They could at least put up sign "out of order" so that I don't waste my money and integrity of vehicle. It's small thing from gas station owner's perspective but I had to scramble to find other location in hurry. It's just not well maintained. Two other places I visited after that had broken machine as well. What a lucky day for me. Maybe I should visit mechanic when my air is low next time. It left bad taste and I would avoid visiting this place. read more

Went to wash my car in the bay and paid to rinse but no pressure. Staff couldn't help said mechanic not in so had to leave with a car full of soap nothing they could do. SERIOUSLY SAVE YIUR MONEY GO SOME PLACE ELSE read more

Brought my car for a basic car wash today. I was disappointed to see bird poop still on window, dirt still on sides, and wheels still dirty. Asked the guy to look at the horrible job the car wash did. He said I was supposed to wash spots and wheels before bringing to car wash and that he can't be responsible for tar and brake dust. He said it would take special chemicals. I brought the car home and was able to get those spots out with water and a sponge! Not going back anymore. read more

In order to receive the discounted price you must first pay and pump your gas, after going thru the car wash first they refused to discount the gas (I even had the receipt that was time stamped). There is zero signs saying you must do the full transaction at the pump. Haffner's Kick Stop in Hudson is a good place to stop for for fuel, snacks, cold drinks, and car wash. The gas prices here are competitive in relation to other area gas stations, though Sam's Club gas (members only) is usually slightly cheaper. Kerosene and racing fuel is sold here too. To keep your vehicle clean, there are self serve vacuums, self serve car wash bays and an automatic gentle touch car wash station too. The convenience store offers snacks, Green Mountain Coffee, hot dogs, cold drinks, and miscellaneous items. There are soda vending machines outside of the store which sell cold Coke and Pepsi cans for 50 cents. Inside the store, cold bottled soft drinks are $1 (16 oz)-$1.50 (20 oz). Unlike other convenience stores, no alcohol, cigarettes, and lottery tickets are sold here. They "kicked stopped" the addicting habits of drinking, smoking, and gambling. read more

NOTE: I'd love to give zero stars, but that is not possible unfortunately. Very, very disappointed with this establishment. I was driving by and saw that there was a discount rate (twenty cents cheaper) if you get a car wash. I figured it would be worth it to get the car wash and fill up with the discounted rate. First off, although the vacuums (to clean inside your car) were free, there was hardly any suction at all, so it was pretty much not even worth it because the vacuuming hardly picked up anything. I then went for the car wash -- which was okay -- but it didn't remove some of the dried schmutz on my rear passenger side window and door panel. I ended up getting out of the car afterwards and washing it off myself at the gas pump. While at the pump, I tried to figure out how to get the twenty cents per gallon discount (since I had just paid for and received my car wash); I couldn't figure out how to do that, so I walked inside with my car wash receipt in hand to ask the attendant. The attendant, an elderly gentleman, walked by me and I politely asked how to get the twenty cents per gallon discount. He then explained rather curtly that you had to fill up with gas first AND THEN get the car wash (which still makes no sense to me). I showed him my receipt and explained that I didn't know that, since I am not from the area and there was NO SIGNAGE whatsoever to explain this. I asked him if he could still give me the twenty cent per gallon price -- as advertised on the sign out front -- and he said "No, you just bought a car wash. That's it." I explained to him that there are no signs indicating that you have to gas up first, and he clearly did not care. Needless to say, I just left and got gas elsewhere, and I will never go to another Haffner's again. Awful customer service, and a total "bait and switch" move... apparently you just have to telepathically know or somehow figure out the correct order of gas fill-up/car wash or else you won't receive the advertised price. Time of incident: roughly 4:00 pm 1/12/21 Think I just had probably the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. I been a regular customer of this Haffner's for probably close to 15 years and this one experience will cement my boycott for all time. I stopped to get gas and go in to have some scratch cards that my father's widow gifted to me to take care of after his passing. I had no idea if they were worth anything and was just looking to get any of them cashed for her (there was maybe 12 tickets). First off, the elderly teller grunts out that I should really take these over to market basket as he just started and his register might not have enough cash. I would've gladly done so had he not already snatched the tickets and started scratching the codes off, making them uncashable anywhere else. He doesn't tell me the totals, but adds up all the slips and grumbles out what sounded like it could've been $26, but between the mask and the glass (not complaining in the least about the safety of patrons and employees) I thought I'd heard $46. So when he handed the cash back and I counted $26, I asked just to clarify if he'd said $26 or $46 to which it was still difficult to understand. So stepped around the side so the hanging glass wasn't in the way and POLITELY ASKED "I'm sorry, just can't quite hear you." This spurned and absolute freak out from the cashier. He blew up and yelled "twenty-six! Two and six! Can you do math? Ten and ten plus six! Twenty six, Jesus Christ, can't you hear!" I am not kidding in the least. If I were a manager, he would be fired on the spot. He has zero business working in customer service and maybe someone should make him aware of three things. 1. He is working as a customer service representative of that establishment. I fully understand that working with the public can be stressful at times and some people might be rude, but there is absolutely no excuse for erupting at customers who aren't causing problems. 2. There are a lot of unemployed people right now in desperate situations. I'm sure at 60+ years old (guessing his age) being the cashier at the local gas station is not where he pictured himself at this age, but I'm sure there are plenty of people out there that would take that job over being jobless. 3. I would assume any business would know that generally you don't want to turn away business. The idea of yelling at customers and before you even get to the yelling part, tell them they should take their business elsewhere is not a solid strategy. Be sure to look at the dates on these reviews. Maybe they were ok 4+ years ago but now they are unfriendly, deceptive in their advertisements, and with facilities in disrepair. Used to always fill up here when i was in the area but not anymore. It appears to be a cash cow for the owners so you'd think a little more effort would be spent on keeping it maintained and updated. read more

Called to start fuel oil service my town and zip code listed on their website. Talked to a lady there and said they would set up for a tank inspection and she confirmed that my area was covered. After waiting two weeks I called them back, lady was very bitchy with me and said they don't service my town and that they forgot to take it off the website which it is still there. Talk about crappy customer service to not even call me back and leave me hanging for two weeks waiting for them to come and inspect. I would not recommend these unprofessional idiots to anyone and I can see from the other terrible customer reviews that they should not be in business! read more

Stopped to get gas and a car wash. First, the pumps are antiquated, and the use was not standard; i.e. unlike all other self serve pumps that require inserting credit car first, at Hafs, you pump them pay. But there were no instructions to this affect. Next the car wash. The operator was extremely rude when i pulled in, rolling his eyes and making exagerated arm motions because i wasnt roaring into the bay fast enough for him. Then he very sardonicslly asked "waddayawant". I was tempted to reply "a car wash", but decided a comment like that would probably go over his head. Anyway, part of the reason i was a bit "slow" was that i was trying to figure out whether it was worth it to go for the Super or Premium wash (or whatever their $15 wash is) After the jerk, however, i quickly changed to the basic cheap wash. I go here primarily for the car wash which I find decent for the price. It's now $7 for their "Basic". My complaint is that twice in the last five times I've driven there, a 20 minute ride, the wash was closed for no provided reason. I can see workers hanging around and they have cones up blocking the entrance in the middle of the day. The sign says open 7 to 7. I don't think so! read more

They installed free vacuums that are garbage. They don't empty their trash. Perhaps the kid sitting in his car by the car wash taking a nap should service the other sections of the car wash facility to make sure people return. I was going to vacuum and then get the car wash but forget it. I'll go someplace nicer. read more

I moved into a place that had a Haffners propane tank previously installed. I initiated a request for a refill on Nov. 25 2015, after numerous emails, forms and phone calls and here I am on Jan 2 2016 with no propane and they have the nerve to charge me $150 extra for an emergency call. Last night, I was harassed by a very angry man three times the size of me. Not one employee came out to stop him or to check to see if I was okay. I got back in my car to call my boyfriend and he started walking towards my car. I had to quickly drive away in fear of what he would do. Very unhappy with the service here. I hired them to do a propane puzzle in my yard and I was the general contractor on the project. I swapped from a 200 gallon tank to a 500 gallon tank and moved it away from the pool area and 60 ft closer to the road to make it easier to fill. I did all the excavation and did the complete job with the exception of any gas. Propane now does my pool, spa, generator, grill, outdoor gas log fireplace, indoor gas log fire place and an extra line for a future use stove. Overall job went smooth and the guys doing the installation were right on point. Very happy and would refer to friends and family. read more

This was once my go to place in Hudson for cheap gas. Sadly that is no longer true. They now run consistently higher than other places in town, and higher than other Haffners in the region. You can almost always save a good bit by going north on Derry Road or over to Daniel Webster Highway. It is like they know they can overcharge folks that are in a rut and shop here by habit. read more

Went to the car wash on 1/10 while in the car wash I got rear ended Bumper messed up been calling the Manager Ken. Nope nothing yet to have this fixed. I am a single woman, a senior, who was involved in a freak car accident at Haffner's Car Wash located in Hudson, NH. The accident took place mid-August 2017, the HPD came and I was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. I have contacted Haffner's District Manager and left several unanswered voicemails since the date of the accident. I have been advised by legal council that I have a RIGHT to know who their insurance company is and to file a claim with them for part of the damage to my vehicle for which their car wash attendant is responsible. My vehicle is not driveable and I have been without transportation to and from work which I consider very inconvenient and costly, as well as an endangerment should I have an emergency situation at home. Repair work has not yet started on my vehicle while waiting for a response from Haffner's DM. I also was advised and will be in contact with the New Hampshire Insurance Department for their assistance in this matter. D. read more

Well I us to be a regular here. The new management that is there now isn't the greatest I went in there this last week. The store was dirty but what got me was there cashier was busy with a line that went around by the counter the manager was just standing there talking with other employees. Didn't bother helping out the cashier. I went in to the bathroom and it got worse. Trash all over the floor, trash can was overflowing and toilet was gross.
