Despite my complete lack of…read morespeaking German, we were able to get a pastry selected and describe a massive coffee cup so that I could eat. It worked out well. Nice cinnamon baked thing that was light and flaky. The coffee machine was self-service automated and yes, it filled my bowl of coffee perfectly with delicious caffeinated coffee. The staff are really friendly and patient! Tried this round "Festbrot" for Easter that was covered in almond slivers. Added some butter and a favorite marmalade...too good! The cafe is just off B27 and near the Dobelstrasse U-bahn stop, so super convenient but NOT like the congested downtown area. They offer some breakfast sandwiches too. Sich selbst genießen!

It had crispy, shredded something on top that was fantastic. Stereo type approaching...he swears by this place saying its authentic. He's Turkish so I believe him. Proof is in the baklava!! Great quality organic rolls for a price that's just a bit above other places nearby like those bakeries usually inside of or next to Rewe stores. Which I found usually very good too but still... Königsbäck truly is king.
