Wander round the small museum and discover all about the escapades of the POWs held here during the war and their attempts to escape. Marvel at the ingenuity, see some of the different artefacts that were used to aid them and read the stories (and see the photos) of both the successes and failures.
In addition to this you can walk the ramparts, peer down the tunnels, view artwork produced, and find out a bit more about the ancient castle.
A few notes
1. For the main museum there are translations of everything into English (so you don't need to be fluent in German to understand the stories)
2. For the information on the older history of the Schloss most of the information is in German, but there is an English translation booklet available in one of the rooms to translate it all.
3. There are tours available (in English!) - but check in advance for the times of these.
4. If travelling to the village at the start (2nd) of Jan, don't expect any shops or cafes to be open (apparently it's much nicer in the summer)
