The cave has a map with different points to view. It didn't take super long to see it all but there are a lot of stairs involved going down then back up to come out. It's really beautiful how they display lights on all the stalagmites and stalactites. Halfway through there is a little presentation with music and a gondola and lights. It was so amazing and different than anything I've ever seen. I thought the cave would feel cold inside but it was actually just perfect temperature. It's not as big as some other caves in the U.S. but definitely worth a visit. After coming out of the caves there are some vendors selling items and pictures. They also have a little cafe with food, drinks and desserts. There are bathrooms but not many.

The tickets are timed, and each group proceeds together. Things move along fairly smoothly, but can seem crowded at times. The well maintained concrete walkway and stairs have sturdy handrails. The cave can be wet in places, so keep hold! The cave features very impressive formations and has a large lake at the bottom. It is here that a simple bench area (seating several hundred) offers your group a place to rest and enjoy the concert. Lights go out, and a ghostly line of row boats float out with a string quartet playing lovely baroque pieces. Truly magical!

It was slightly chilly... just a little…read moretoo cool for the beach so we hopped in our rental car and enjoyed the scenic drive to the caves. So glad we did. They were simply stunning! First you buy your ticket and then wait for the next tour group to go through. They break it down into manageable groups to guide you through the caves and not overcrowd them. Being off season now, it wasn't very busy. Parking was easy and our group was a nice mix of friendly folks. The guide speaks several languages and will repeat each section in the languages represented in the group. It can be hard to hear in the caves if you are further back, so if her/his presentation is important to your experience, be sure to stay closer to the front. One should also know that there are a lot of stairs and dim lighting. This may not be the best excursion for someone that is mobility challenged. We brought my sister's 6 month old but had him in a chest harness. He loved the music and light show but the coolness of the caves compounded with the dim lighting sent him right to sleep for the remainder of the tour. As for what you'll see, just wow. So many variations of structures from large to small. The detail is astounding! The scale is sometimes overwhelming. Having been to other cave complexes/caverns, these do not disappoint. It's well worth the visit and a perfect outing for a cloudy day. Side note, while you're waiting for your tour or when you're done, spend some time along the wall looking down toward the sea. You may be lucky and spot the Wild Mallorcan Goat! We saw two about 20 feet away from us but would have missed them if we didn't look straight down.

This was my favorite tourist spot in Mallorca because it is completely unique to the region. Someone also brought a small dog with them and it was super annoying because it kept barking. Yes, this place is dark and scary so dont be THAT person.

Upon arrival there is a lot for cars to park and two entrances on the right and left. Take the right stones stairs to the small souvenir shop where you purchase your tickets for the tour. They only accept cash or debit card. They also have a restaurant/cafe that serve drinks and small bites if you're waiting for a bit before your tour with over 13 kitties that live onsite for you to play with! They are extremely friendly and allows you to pet them. They also had restrooms at the top to the right of the staircase. The cave tour itself was very interesting and has so much history. The tour isn't as formal as others I've been on, but our tour guide's family has owned it for so long that she knew all the details. She toured a group of us in English and answered all questions thrown at her. It is slippery inside so wear proper shoes. Also, wear a hood or something to cover your head if you need because water will drip on you throughout the tour. Definitely worth visiting the caves in Mallorca and learning about the history of it all.

First of all, the views from the main building are absolutely stunning. Think panoramic views of ocean and sand with a beautiful pool that looks like it's floating in the ocean. That alone had me obsessed, but then I saw my room. When staying you can book in the main building, or the suites located in a passageway across the street which you access underground. We booked a room in the main building and got upgraded to the ocean view which was awesome. The room was quite large, with a large separate bathroom space which had the toilet and shower in one room with a tub and sink in the entryway which was great for girls sharing a room. We were also able to add a cot to the room for an extra 125 Euro a night and even with that, the room felt spacious. There is not a lot of natural light, as the one window that we had was super small, but the stunning views made up for it. The service from the folks at the hotel was super friendly. They offer room service, a spa, breakfast every day (include with suites or a la carte with a regular room), and amazing poolside service. I also love that you can go into the ocean straight from stairs attached to the pool. I really enjoyed my stay here. If you want to splurge a little and enjoy the views and amenities this is the perfect spot. It was great to unwind here amidst some jam-packed wedding festivities.

Maricel looks like an old palace, but it was built in 1948 to look that way. Back in the day, movies stars and royalty stayed here. It closed in the 80s and then reopened in 2002 with expanded rooms. Most rooms have terraces and ocean views. There is an infinity pool, a bar and cabanas that are busy in season. You can get massages in treatment nooks overlooking the water. There is a restaurant that serves incredible breakfasts and lunches. The main spa facility also has a separate business center for retreats and events. That area accessible by tunnel is mid century modern, but the overall aesthetic is neo-classical. The staff are friendly and discreet from the front desk to the restaurant servers to the cheerful maids who do a very thorough job maintaining the rooms. You even have a pillow library to pick just the right one for a good night's sleep. The bathroom is white marble with a soaking tub and dual handheld / rain shower. We stayed in #14, one of the best on the property.

The route they planned for us was beautiful. We really enjoyed the little excursion on to the cave and snorkeling. And then they took us to this beautiful cove where they prepared a warm lunch for us. We're all vegetarian, and our kids (ages 10 and 6) are very picky eaters - and even they loved the food. I think this was one of the best meals we had in our entire 4 weeks in Spain. The boat itself is very comfortable, clean, and beautiful. Deck pillows up front, paddle board and inflatable inner tubes to play with before/after lunch. The only downside was having to pay in cash. They were very up front with this, but we didn't prepare well and had to pay a lot in ATM fees. Just something to be aware of and prep early.
