We met some friends in Louisville for a long weekend. We needed to get hopped up on coffee and donuts before heading to the distilleries. This is a great little place off the beaten path. They're only allowing curbside take-out at this time, but no big deal. Delicious assortment of donuts at the lowest prices around. read more

Hadorn's Bakery - Best apple fritters we have ever had - Donuts Near Me - Bardstown, Kentucky

The best doughnuts you may ever eat!! They have limited hours, which can be frustrating at times. Sometimes they forget to change the open/ closed sign. Definitely worth a try. YUM-YUM is my fave!!! read more

If you're looking for a tiny bakery with delicious donuts and pastries, you have to go to Hadorn's. A friend who lives in Bardstown told me if we ever come to Bardstown, we MUST go to Hardon's Bakery. He was right! I loved that the building is so tiny and clearly it's been around a lot of years and I just loved that character about it. I did have to stand in line outside and it was so worth it! They have a donut called a Yum Yum, it's a cinnamon twist glazed donut that is drizzled with milk and white chocolate. So good! They also sell glazed donut holes, we ordered 2 dozen. They were very flavorful, soft and fluffy. Pure perfection. They have filled donuts called Munchkins and they were also so great! Munchkins are only sold on the weekends. The pecan danish is a round cinnamon danish that is glazed with what tasted slightly like maple and topped with pecans. If you're a fan of cream cheese, be sure to get a cream cheese danish, it was fantastic. The apple jack is a donut filled with diced cinnamon apples and drizzled with frosting on the outside. It was hit!! I also bought a few smiley face cookies. A bakery back home in Michigan went out of business a few years ago and we miss their smiley face cookies so much. These were the closest we've had to them so far. They brought back great memories of our favorite bakery that is no more. They were also serving peanut butter cookies and chocolate chip cookies. Both looks very good but we didn't order them. When I was there they didn't have coffee. I'm not sure if they no longer serve coffee (because of the pandemic) or what the deal was. They're only open until 1 and I hear they sell out of things early. I went right after they opened so luckily, nothing was sold out. Long story short, GO TO HADORNS BAKERY!!! read more

Hadorn's Bakery - Yasssss!!! So amazing!!! Yum yum and pretzels are to die for! - Donuts Near Me - Bardstown, Kentucky

Having lived in the area over 3 years now (Louisville native), I must say this is my absolute favorite gem to have discovered. I've tried many different donut shops in the city and I still prefer Hadorn's over them all. I have yet to try anything I didn't like. My favorite recommendations include: munchkins, pretzel donuts, yum yums, and Apple Jacks! But honestly, everything here is delicious. The service is always fast and friendly and so personable. Favorite place to tell out of towners about by FAR!!! read more

Best doughnuts in town!! You have to try the yum yum!! Get there early, they sell out fast.

Super nice bakery with good selection of donuts and danishes. Efficient and nice ladies taking care of customers. Coffee wasn't too bad - would have been better with real half & half. Stop in for good service and yummy product. My morning was greatly improved by going here read more

All donuts here are fantastic. I rarely deviate from my fan favorites but the cinnamon twist is a solid choice.

Literally the best baked good I've ever had the pleasure of consuming. This bakery is owned by a wonderful family!

I will never go back to this place. The last time I ordered 2 yum yums and one of the yum yum was so tiny it was obviously done on purpose. It's not like they were closing cause it was 8:45 am. If you hate your job than quit and don't take it out on paying customers read more

They do as good a job on donuts as any place I have seen. Just get there early for the best selection.

"What's the big deal? It's a donut. How good can it be?" Then I sunk my teeth into a flaky cream cheese Danish. My speculation turned into, "OH MY GOD! THIS PASTRY IS CRACK!" I became a Hadorns addict and don't plan to kick the habit any time soon. There will most likely be a line out the door, and there's a reason for that. I usually don't like to eat breakfast out, but Hadorns has become a delicious staple in my household. Great prices. Unbeatable pastries. Get your fix. NOW! read more

Great little bakery and very affordable. We arrived at 9:00am on a Sunday and only had one person in line before us. Service was efficient but not overly friendly. Prices very good: three donuts and four rolls / croissants for $7.20. The pecan cinnamon roll was a standout but everything else was good too. read more

Hadorn's Bakery is the best donut shop in Bardstown, which is why I'm giving it five stars. Tips for first timers: 1. Arrive before they open and get in line. 2. Donuts sell out quickly. 3. People love the "Yum Yums". Do not eat these if you have a cinnamon allergy like myself. 4. Regular Long Johns (not cream filled) must be requested a few days in advance (per their staff). read more

Hadorn's Bakery - A good dozen from Hadorn's. - Donuts Near Me - Bardstown, Kentucky

Forget Krispy Kreme! The Yum Yums and glazed donuts are worth the 25 minute drive from Mount Washington

Two days ago, the safety officer at my work bought doughnuts for the lab. Apparently, she had to get an oil change done and had stopped by. I had taken what I see here as a "Yum, yum"? It was delicious. I also noticed that there was cinnamon and everyone I had talked to also said the same thing. I think this place adds a touch of cinnamon to their doughnuts and that may be the game changer vs. other doughnuts I have tried. read more

I rarely eat out for breakfast but I have to say the few times a year I experience Hadorn's Yum yum it's heavenly. If it's your first time visiting get the yum yum; it's what they're known for. I've tried other things but always come back to the yum yum. If you're in Bardstown and have a hankering for something other than fast food, go to Hadorn's! Just a little hint: they're open Tuesday-Sunday, and if I remember correctly, are only open until 1pm. read more

Hadorn's Bakery - Donuts Near Me - Bardstown, Kentucky

This place. Donuts. Everything. My grandparents have lived in Bardstown for 30 years. I'm not sure how long Hadorn's has been open, but I have some very old memories of eating donuts at my grandparent's kitchen table. For as long as I can remember, this place has been consistently good. It's the kind of place where you can find old men sharing a coffee and conversation on the patio, a delicious donut that doesn't try to be something it's not, and a fresh bakery smell that may haunt you for the rest of your life. If you like donuts at all, you must grab one while in town. If you don't like donuts, what's wrong with you? read more

Best donuts I've ever had in my whole life. The dough is light airy and melts in your mouth. The glazes are perfect and they have a special donut called the yum yum that will knock your socks off but be careful it's a hear attack waiting to happen. Don't forget some donut holes they will have you addicted. I drive an hour to come get these donuts and have no problem doing so.....they are just that good. Open tues-sun early-1pm or when the donuts run out, Because they will run out and the selection is slim by 11 so get there early! read more

Wonderful donuts. Wife and I went here two mornings in a row while on vacation. Donuts are REALLY good and the prices are incredible. Definitely recommend this place.
