Worst medical experience I've ever had…read more I went to Pronto Medical on Fisher Blvd for an annual physical and a referral for an MRI due to a known meniscus tear. Dr. Joyce never examined my knee at all--only checked my vitals. He was dismissive and made an inappropriate and medically inaccurate comment. Despite being in extreme pain and significant inflammation, I was not offered crutches, a brace, pain relief, or even basic guidance--not even Tylenol or ibuprofen. The front desk staff was equally unprofessional. I was given confusing paperwork, no clear explanation of where my MRI was scheduled, then accused of being "nasty" when I asked for clarification. I left frustrated, confused, and still in severe pain. Three weeks later, when I finally went for my MRI, I was informed that Dr. Joyce's office acknowledged the initial call and stated the referral would be faxed, but it was never sent and all subsequent calls were ignored. The imaging center attempted to contact the office multiple times, and my MRI had to be canceled and rescheduled, delaying my care by weeks. Because of these failures, I went over a month and a half with a bucket-handle meniscus tear, enduring unnecessary pain and delayed treatment. Dismissive provider, rude staff, and serious administrative breakdowns. I would not recommend this office to anyone. Cris Rodriguez

It was a…read moreseamless and positive experience, which is both rare, and what everyone wants from a Doctor's office visit. The office is practicing Covid-safety measures, having patients sign-in in the front vestibule and then wait in their cars until they are called back from the front desk staff. The staff did the standard check-in paperwork/questions with me over the phone, to limit the number of people in the office at one time. I appreciated that, both as a safety measure and because I dislike filling out the paperwork at any Dr.'s office. I was the 2nd person to sign in when they opened at 8:30. The wait time was short - maybe 10 minutes? The staff has excellent bedside manner. In fact, they were delightful. I believe 4 different people helped me - Dr. Bryan Barrett, and Becky and I think a Gina (or a Rita? Sorry!). The mood amongst the staff was upbeat. They seem to actually like each other and like working with each other. It turned out I had a fever too, and then all of a sudden I was shaking and sweating and my blood pressure dropped while I was in the chair. They had me lay down. A nurse took my blood sugar. Dr. Barrett and a nurse stayed with me until my blood pressure came back up. They did not rush me out or leave me in the room by myself. The Dr. and I talked about other health questions I had. He was just lovely and the staff is lovely too. I will be back...but hopefully not soon. :)

Gave me an oral steroid to drink (did nothing) and sent me away. They did not do a Covid test. Turns out, I have Covid and now some in my family have it too. Why would they not do a Covid test while I was there? Unfortunately, this is the only facility covered by plan, but I will never go back there.

I was told by the doctor there to come back to a CityMD 7 days later to get them removed. This was right before Easter and I had planned to visit family that week- no big deal- I saw that there was a CityMD in Manahawkin and I figured I would have no trouble getting them out there. First, there is parking in the lot- however not alot by the CityMD which is next to a driving school which uses alot of the spaces. Not a great situation if someone is having medical issues. When you enter- reception is incredibly lovely and polite. The checkin app wasn't working for me (it worked fine in Brooklyn) so the receptionist manually put in my information. I waited for awhile. Apparently they thought I saw the doctor already- and I had to remind everyone that I was there. I entered the room to see the doctor. I took off the bandage I had so he could see the wound and he never looked at it. I showed him the note from the previous doctor and he said he doesn't take stitches out in less than 10 days because "its his license not mine." He said I shouldn't be using that kind of bandage, gave me two t band aids and then charged me the $75 copay and that was it. Three days later (now on the 10th day) I went back to the CityMD in Brooklyn and my stitches had healed into my hand which took over an hour to remove and was painful. Needless to say- I was upset about the entire situation and I'll try Atlantic Care next time I'm in town and need an urgent care.

Got there scheduled time, asked same ?'s Of everything I already filled out, collected my $15 co-pay and I have been in examining room for over an Hour waiting to see doctor. I get situations arise BUT let me know before you put me in a too For over an hour without seeing a doctor!! walked out of office without ever being treated. Asked for my $15 back and she had to get an office manager who was conveniently in a meeting and unavailable. I have a fractured ankle that had surgery and was extreme pain from sitting and waiting and all I was there for was an antibiotic. Told her I had to leave and receptionist said she would take care of it. I told her If I was charged for this visit I will be in front of city md on a daily letting people know. This place should be shut down!!!

You can make an appointment here, which will make you a priority patient...I happen to just walk in and had to wait nearly an hour and a half to be seen. I didn't mind - it was in the middle of summer, and the staff was going as fast as they can. Everyone working here - from the desk staff to the physicians to the nurses - was kind and courteous. I gave it four stars and not five, not only for the wait - but also because they doctor deemed the infection was viral (even after being sick for 8 days), and just wouldn't give me medicine. I understand where they are coming from, but I am prone to sinus infections and tried to tell them this...they did what they thought was best. I would have returned here, but I am not from the area, and went back up north to my home. The office did call and follow up with me the next day when I was much worse, but unfortunately the doctor wasn't working and therefore I still could not get medication. I did end up going to another doctor near my hometown to be seen. Anyway, if I am in a pinch down the shore, I will return here. My circumstances were not ideal but it doesn't mean they aren't doing a good job.

They called me 2 hours later about my chart result Long story short when I was able to access my chart results the comment from the doctor surprised me because it didn't matched our phone conversation. Firstly I wasn't yet able to get antibiotic which he prescribed on the time of our conversation, second he didn't give me any recommendation to follow up with primary MD, concidering the fact that it's my first time being severe sick in this country like an immigrant, I consider it very careless because he knows from my chart that I don't even have primary MD I can also question professional skills of the doctor in diagnosis, it feels like they was trying to do the most lab tests they could to get money from insurance, was holding me there for 2 hours the day before memorial day, so I won't be able to get to pharmacy on time before closing to get antibiotics. They didn't have anything in the office to relieve my condition as well, even when I asked.
