Probably safe to assume a reservation is preferable, but my "telephone" German is currently rated as ridiculous, bordering on outright unrecognizable, precluding that option. All Is not lost. In person, I can speak (nearly) fluent German. This is accomplished through my skillful use of mime, two German nouns and an improperly conjugated verb (tossed in for just good measure). It's a heckuva way for a fellow to negotiate a haircut, but both the proprietor and one of his staff have handled the job quite well. On my last visit, the lady who cut my hair did an extra special job of imparting that added Euro flair that helps uplift even the spirits of this aging bon vivant. Highly recommended. Enjoy.
