UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE STAFF!!! NOT a good place for BLONDE hair…read more
Being an expat (coming from Los Angeles) in Germany It has been very difficult finding a salon that I like. I had high hopes for this salon as It always was booked out for weeks sometimes months in advance and I've always liked Aveda products.
My initial impression was very good. My stylist Laura was very sweet and the general atmosphere was very good. I shower Laura a photo of what I wanted (see photo left) - kind of a dark blonde to lighter blonde ombré. She said no problem and started putting in color. As a blonde I am very picky with what color goes into my hair. As she started putting color in I noticed that the color started to turn very dark - like an Auburn brown. And that the light parts of my hair started looking pink. I Warned her that I.T looked very dark but she said not to worry as It will lighten when she washes the color out. Let's just say It did not. I started to freak out because as a blonde It is very difficult to go light again without damaging your hair. I complained then her boss came to me, saying he liked the color and that It was "pure luxury". It was a pure DISASTER. They told me they would fix the color and make it more golden. I asked them How they would do that and they said they would wash out the color. I said fine and not to my surprise the end product was pretty much the same. Dark Brown-red roots. (See photo right) I was mortified, and I told them I would not pay for the color as i was very unhappy and It was not what i had asked for. A new person now was involved, I'm assuming he was the owner or the manager, who asked to see the picture and he said my hair was nearly identical. I told him I can see, I have two eyes, and It is clearly not the same. He gave me some half ass excuse about the nature tones of my hair and how the photo didn't show the roots well enough. Anyways, the customer is apparently not always right in this establishment.
I ended up leaving paying €120 for a very disappointing afternoon.
