I don't know much about hair since I myself have been shaving my head bald for the past 10 years but this review is for my girlfriend who has luscious, curly brunette hair and have been maintaining it at Haarkunst Denise. This is my first time visiting the salon since I live overseas, but what a great experience! After the brief "this is my boyfriend" intro, I plopped down in a seat next to my girlfriend while the owner Denise starts working on her hair. I take a look around and can't help but to notice a few things: 1. How immaculately CLEAN this salon is. I mean, people are getting their hair cut here but the floors and vanity (is that what you call the desk and mirror area? haha) were spotless. I could've literally eaten off of it.. 2. There was such a lively, fun atmosphere. Customers were chatting away with their stylist and their stylist were smiling and joking around with their customers. I didn't understand what in the world they were talking about but it sure looked fun! The salon itself just had a great energy about it. 3. Denise is an ANGEL! Usually you hear of salon owners of this caliber being kinda bitchy and rude, but not Denise! She was soooo sweet, charismatic and hospitable. While working on my girlfriend's hair, she tried to include me in the conversation by speaking in English and kept checking to make sure I was comfortable even offering me some cookies and coffee in her office...so cool!!! Once my girlfriend's hair was done (which looked even more amazing than before - if that's even possible), we chatted with Denise and her mom for a bit before departing. Denise left such a wonderful impression on me, I had to write this review immediately! Thank you to Denise and her team for the wonderful experience!!
