I cannot express how disappointed I am with the service I have recieved from this business. For…read morethe last month and a half we have been trying to get our engagement rings. Firstly, they measured us completely incorrectly, my ring was a size too small, and my fiance's was two sizes too small. They also got the rings the wrong way round, leading me to propose with the wrong ring (his hands are bigger than mine, the ring was three sizes too small, and caused damage trying to remove it). Once I had worn mine for a few days, my finger lost circulation, and I had to remove it. We went back to the shop; this was probably the fourth or fifth time we had been in for various samplings and measurements, and a great deal of our time had been wasted. They agreed to resize them, and gave me a ring sizer for my fiance, who couldn't keep taking time off work for the ridiculous number of appointments we were accumulating. Eventually, we ended up with two rings that were the correct size. His was scratched and burned, mine had lost its patternation and finish completely from the resizing. They agreed to redo the finish on them, so we returned the rings again. We returned today, expecting that our rings would finally be ready. The finish was completely wrong, despite the four photographs we emailed to them at their own insistance, showing them exactly what we wanted. The rings were also still scratched, and for some reason had been given a bevelled edge. They tried to charge £40 for their own mistakes, before complaining they were making a loss because of all the man hours they had wasted. Had they not measured us incorrectly, scratched, burned and otherwise totally messed up our rings, I imagine they would have wasted far fewer hours of both of our time. We left with a refund, and have since been quoted cheaper, faster and more competent work from Ebony Jewellers down the road. We shall be seeking compensation for the incredible waste of time this has caused us. I planned our engagement very carefully, and was not prepared to have it ruined by the utter incompetence and unprofessionalism of these jewellers.
