March 3 I went into the location at Portage Place in Winnipeg 1 simple question was is my T5 online from my credit union. Stood there like a dummy for 5 mins then the lady at the desk said Service Canada computers are down all day. Well she could of said that 5 mins ago but because I am Blind she thought he can't se me sitting here ignoring him. March 4th went back to the same location same lady and again she ignored me . This time i spoke up and said fine I will go somewhere else then she said can i help you NO THANK YOU this lady needs some people skills . ,She could of said i will be with you in a moment . or hello have a seat i will call you nothing . I will be contacting the Winnipeg Police service. Christine Martel at this location in Winnipeg at 53 Goulet St has by incompetence or fraud caused my tax return to be stolen; important documents including my T4 and home insurance and property taxes are missing; an unknown person (another client, and a non Canadian citizen) had all of my documentation at their home, and likely still has it and is using it. This is likely the person who drained my refund card and stolen a significant amount of money. At this time, I am convinced that your employee has been so negligent, perhaps criminally so, that I must refer this to the Winnipeg Police, the CRA and to any regulatory body that oversees your practice. There is no excuse for this gross incompetence and I will now be exposed to identity fraud for years. I will be contacting an attorney and filing a police report. read more

Got my taxes done at this location for the second year in a row. A small line up and wait due to COVID regulations. After dropping off the paperwork they stated they'd call me within an hour. About 5 hours later they called to verify some info and state my taxes were completed. I'll be going back next year. read more

We had booked an appointment weeks in advance. When we arrived we had to wait for over 45 mins with no explanation or no care or rush to our time that they waisted. I overheard how they had purposefully overbook for our day. They never should have done that in the first place. read more

I would strongly advise using any other H + R block rather than this one . Joanne Small's terrible customer service is enough to keep my business and any of my family, friends or colleagues from using this branch ever again . No response to emails and phone calls, no notice that my tax return was completed, not even a simple greeting by her upon entry to the building. She also tried to charge over $200 more than what should have been charged for my return, wasn't returned until i said something about it . She had extremely rude responses to simple questions I asked, making me feel like her time was much more valuable than to be wasted on me and my appointment . Would not wish this establishment on my worst enemy . Please take your valuable business anywhere but here. There are much more deserving people that could use your commission .
