The resulting turmoil in that change left me with poor responses to my calls, my ability to be confident about whoever was giving advice, and where the responsibility for organizing and implementing the changes rested. Fast forward to 2025 tax-return prep: I needed a copy of my 2024 return for my new accountant to compare with my 2025 documents. The 2024 digital return was no longer available to me, and Ops-Daw hadn't sent me a printed copy. So, I called the Kirkland office, who said they'd email me a copy. Then a couple of hours later, I called again about the delay. Turned out that the Kirkland Office didn't have access to the Bellevue Office records for me, because there was a delay in their regional offices all the way to Vancouver. The good part is that although the Kirkland Office Accounting representative assured me that I would receive my document by "the end of the day" it arrived within the next hour or so! So, yes, I got another runaround and deflections and excuses, but I did get the promised document...even before the assured time! It's just sad to me that Ops-Daw's structure has evidently become so top-heavy that any kinks threaten to stall even a concern as small as mine. Their Accounting Department was great for my purpose that day. Butt: Their Corporate Big Britches don't seem to wear very well. BTW: my taxes are fairly simple and not of a corporate nature.
