Two days before it was due we contacted Advanced America for an extension as we were having financial problems still and needed to wait till next pay period (she got paid bi-weekly). The rep only offered us a 1 day extension (which goes against florida statue laws) and then placed her on hold and the call disconnected due to poor reception. We then called the main number and spoke to another female rep who also put us on an extended hold but eventually came back on and said she extended it out to the next pay period. Weekend went by fine so we thought everything was fine, until Tuesday when we discovered that they pulled the money on Monday. This was a major problem as it was not the date we agreed to and we have our biggest bills hitting this week (our home and car). I had to change the due date to Friday for my car payment (which made that late) and couldn't purchase any groceries or medications. We then contacted support and was told that the second rep we spoke to never updated the file and that they will pull the phone recordings and send them to management. No sympathy for any of the inconveniences or fees we got charged due to their "mistake". We then started to having to start calling them daily to have them close the account so that we can get another payday loan (since fl law will only allow you to have one active payday loan open at a time). We even emailed and uploaded proof of payment from our bank account. Then we got told by one rep that she sees the proof but can't close the account on her end. She even had to grab her supervisor and they too couldn't close the account. Then we called again on Thursday and was told the reason why they couldn't close it is because they have a 3 day wait policy. That too seemed inaccurate. So because of Advanced America and their reps and their policies, I woke up to another overdrawn account because my car payment (the one I had to change already due to Advanced America). Advanced America has costed my family several hundred dollars in damages as well as blemishing our credit due to the overdraft and late payment. To add insult to injury, we have no other option (around us) to use for a payday loan. Since we still need a loan, we are forced to use them and allow them to take even more advantage of us by charging us again for their mistake. Seems like double-jeopardy. Bottom line is I have more faith in a crackheads' integrity, then I do with Advance America.
