We had gone to H&R Block for several years when the account that we saw retired. She recommended one of her co-workers and we asked about seeing that new person the following year. We were told that we could see that new person, but when we arrived, they told us she was busy and would be seeing someone else. They should have called us to let us know there was a conflict rather than springing someone else to see. We immediately switched to another tax preparer and will not be going back to H&R. read more

No human decency, I used h&r block when I was younger for years and never had any problems but I take my taxes into a local office to do them and was disgusted. Then they give you an automated reply with the number which I called. I was told in 3 to 5 days someone would get back to me about a complaint and they never did so I called back yet again and that's been 3 weeks ago and still nothing. So last year my taxes were filed incorrectly by the "tax professional." I paid almost 300 for there services and was told I would receive coupons to file my taxes this year. Well coupons never came in and I've been trying to call and speak with a manager 3 times and never have once received a call back, although they have called me to schedule me in with another tax professional to prepare my taxes but when I mention my coupons I was promised they tell me they will get back to me later. I've been filing my taxes with them for 5 years I guess loyalty means nothing to these people. I strongly recommend going elsewhere. read more

My taxes were initially filed incorrectly by the "tax professional". Had to go to submit corrections when I did not receive my state refund. During this process, learned that the information originally submitted did not match the application I signed, and the tax preparer submitted additional (incorrect) information without my consent. Was told during the process of re-filing that I would be reimbursed the fees for two state forms, however I was never reimbursed. I filed my taxes with a tax pro and after submitting my paperwork online I didn't hear anything back for a little over a week. When I called and finally got a hold of a tax pro they told me that nobody had even started filing my return yet. So the tax pro filed it that day and when I was asked if I wanted it deposited into the same account from last year I told them no and gave them my new account info. After a few days I got a notification saying my federal return was rejected, which I didn't make a big fuss about I just reached out to the tax pro and they fixed it for me. A few days after that I got a notification that my state return was rejected as well. I reached out to the tax pro once again and they fixed it. When my federal return finally arrived, it was deposited into the account I had specifically said I didn't want my return to be deposited in. I was charged a little over $400 for the tax preparation fee so I felt cheated that all these issues occurred and I still had to pay the tax prep fee. When I went to speak with someone in person the women at the reception desk were extremely nice and understanding and told me I could wait for the manager to get back until a man walked into the reception area and told one of the women to have me leave my information and someone would call me in an hour or so. Obviously I did not receive the call and when I called them I got no response. So here we are read more
