INCLUDING the relatives I referred) thinking that this would be a perfect fit. The first mistake was that they took 3 weeks to even LOOK at our taxes. We called patiently waiting to hear updates and after no returned or answered calls I started to get a bit frustrated and called several times one day until they answered. They finally called back and assured us they would be starting on it right away. 2 days later we got the phone call that everything was completed and all of a sudden we get a ridiculous number for our fee that we were not told before. And a breakdown of charges, a few changes they made on my taxes WITHOUT any approval from myself nor my husband. Initial consultation we spoke with Maria, who told us a ballpark range, which was half the number they'd given us. She told us she was not in charge of billing and that Renee was. So I asked to speak with Renee after hearing about my expensive bill. Renee told me Maria generates the billing, and the number Maria had given me was different and would never do that, and then she gave me another number that was in the middle of both. After careful consideration and unanswered questions, Renee told me to refer to the owner. I waited 6 days before he finally called me. He was the most condescending human being I have ever come in contact with. Told me to go lenient on one of his employees because they'd only been there for two years......Seriously......? ? He also told me the reason it took so long is because they have corporate taxes they're busy on, at this point I had 3 weeks until the deadline to file my taxes. He suggested an extension which would also be an extra fee. After finally finishing the problems I had had with his office he proceeded to SUGGEST that I should take my business elsewhere. I wanted to reject my taxes and do them myself, however my husband went on a limb and paid them the outrageous fee to save time, and now they've just told us a week later it will be another 4-6 weeks before we receive our refund because they were too focused on the big dogs instead of completing a return that was handed in a month prior. Not worth the stress and definitely not worth the money.

His office went silent for months. I had to nag to get my taxes finished and had to continually reach out to find out when they were done. We finally received our completed taxes just ahead of the extended deadline in 2020. We filled out all the paperwork as we were instructed and mailed it and checks to the IRS. A few months ago (Oct 2021), we started getting letters from the IRS informing us that we owe them MORE money for the same years in question for 5329 (IRA) issues. I contacted Chris's office immediately. His assistant requested some IRS paperwork from me which I provided that very day. Chris himself called me back about a week later. I explained the situation, and he said he was willing to look into it to see if he'd made a mistake. He then said that he needed to send me some paperwork so he could call the IRS on my behalf. It's been 2 months since those emails and phone calls, and I've heard nothing from either of them. I paid a non-trivial sum of money to have my taxes done by Chris. If a mistake was made, I expect it to be taken seriously - especially given the quantities of money involved here! I'll not be using this CPA again.

They all play the Good Ol' Boy game and sit in the back room talking trash about whatever while Nobody does anything approaching actual work. I accidentally walked in the wrong entrance my first time going there in person. They acted so deeply shocked when I walked in on the party. Mind you, the disabled ramp leads from the parking lot directly into their lair where they sit and guffaw LOUDLY while the women who get paid far less have to deal with customers. They do not provide you with any kind of insurance card AT ALL so be prepared to have: more money, a home printer, ink for said printer, a trip to their office, then forbid you to walk in the door that is adjacent to the parking lot. The word aggravation does not begin to explain how this feels in the increasingly hot Southern heat, especially in the summer or autumn. They all sat on their butts while the women dealt with dealing with me and anyone else who needs Proof of Insurance. I just heard them making fun of my semi-blind self for what seemed like hours, but was probably 10-15 minutes, which is too long to have to listen to them disparage their local community. Do yourself a favor and don't give these guys your money. If you have the audacity to have to cancel their insurance early, be prepared to let them keep whatever money they still owe you. I talked to the owner nearly 3 months after having to turn my plates in. I got an invoice in the mail saying they owed me over 400 dollars. I checked my account and had a talk with their owner/MANager yesterday and I'm quite sure this place has many bad reviews. If you happen to be any kind of minority, they will try to disguise their chicken shit with Good Ol Boy southern drawl while stammering to explain their bogus policies, so be prepared. I got the letter yesterday and asked where the money was. I was told by their head manager that three months was not long enough, and that they would need an additional 7-10 days while the Raleigh office sent the check out. Not only that, but they WILL send it to your last address on file or wherever they please. Your pain is their gain. I could have used this money MONTHS ago, but they'd rather let you give up, so they can keep it. They are not Farmers, but there is a bureaucracy to deal with. Do yourself a favor and stick to any company with an app which has your card information right on your phone. I hate this place so much and I will not be talked to like trash.
