There are plenty of such places in Peterborough, however Sue Ryder Vintage is by far and away the most impressive. Set over two storeys they have everything from vintage fashion (with designer brands not uncommon) to old cameras, retro video games and collectibles from the last century going all the way into antiquities. There is also a large collection of vintage records on offer as well. There is truly something for everyone here whether you are going in simply to browse or have intent to find that one special item. The staff here are all enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. It is nice to visit a vintage store and have passionate people to talk shop with as it were. This definitely adds to the atmosphere of the place which is something that you will definitely want to soak up and enjoy. The icing on the cake for me is that the prices are very reasonable for what is on offer and often, I find things for less than I see them going for on ebay and the like. Whenever I am in town I always pop into Sue Ryder Vintage and I can only recommend that you do too. It is really a place where you can kill a few hours poking your nose into corners and discovering some fantastic bits of history for sale.

They often had sales on with offers such as 20% off or buy one get one free. I outgrew the shop and haven't visited it for years. I'm not even sure if it is still there. It was a good shop at the time & would recommend it to teenagers who shop on a budget. It is located on Long Causeway in Peterborough near many other fashion shops such as French Connection. Worth a look if you are around the area (and if its still there!).

The shop is well laid out, allowing customers to travel around the store at ease, and with comfort. The changing rooms are clean and spacious, making it easier and nicer to try clothing on. The sales assistants are very polite and helpful, and are always there to give you a hand finding things, and trying clothes on. It is a very reasonably priced store, which caters well for a lot of age groups. It is easy to pick up a bargain, and this makes it even better.

Claires Accessories is located in Queensgate shopping centre in Peterborough, aimed at teenage…read moregirls. It was a favourite of mine when I was younger as it offers a range of hair accessories, jewellery and stationary that is very girly! Prices used to be expensive, but have come down a bit now. I reccommend the place if you have a younger sister, daughter, neice or friend because there is a huge range of accessories that are unique and funky. You can also have your ears pierced (in the front window with everyone watching- not my idea of fun!). Worth a look!

Then all of a sudden, jeans became a little 'chavy' and prices shot up. Suprisingly, it lost my custom! I often browse the internet when looking for dresses for a special occassion and see some really lovely ones. I go in store and they are not at all like what they were on the website. I have heard that River Island in Peterborough has moved to a larger unit, so I will definately have a look in there to see if it has had a positive effect on their product range.
