As the Interlaken tourism site says, "It's not just a main street." It's definitely more than that. You'll see that right away when given the opportunity to walk along this road between the east and west Interlaken train stations. There are a ton of picture perfect moments all around you. Some are clichés such as the EdelWeiss Shop where tourists stop for souvenirs, but it's these picture moments with beautiful backdrops of the Swiss Alps that lure you here. It's a beautiful shopping, dining, and entertainment area. This main artery connects you to many streets full of unique shops mixed with high end ones as well as luxurious chocolate shops. The Toblerone shop caught my eye. I'm sure it catches many as it's positioned perfectly on of the side streets. I could have spent a whole afternoon here just browsing through all them.
You'll also find horse-drawn carriage rides here. They'll take you through places such as the old town of Unterseen and the Japanese Gardens. All while taking in the views of the Jungfrau. But, I must say that the biggest draw for us was watching the paragliders swirling above us as they start descending to the landing area at Hohematte Park. That's where we ended our exploration along this boulevard. It's a huge park with beautiful views of the Alps.
This whole area is perfect for CLOY fans. It's where I imagine that Se-ri would have landed her hang glider had she not been blown into North Korea. Haha! Make it one of your stops during a visit to this region. It was a very memorable trip! read more
