Travelling around Canada, I get to try familiar foods and compare to the staples back at home…read more It was Pho-king time! Er...yeah...I went there! :D I love the Yelp App. I had no idea how I travelled before! It listed a few places near me and off I went to what I hope was the best Pho in Calgary. Ordered up the standard Rare Beef Pho and the Satay Pho. As an appy, tried their egg roll. Egg roll was pencil thin, I didn't know if anything was in it. It reminded me of Morrocan Cigars. A bit of a let down on filling, however, it was quite tasty. The satay was HUGE! Definitely sharing size for their standard order. Good flavours with a great spicy kick. Was pretty impressed with it. The moment of truth, will their Rare Beef Pho match up to my fav in the GTA? Drum roll!!! I have to say...nah! It was a bit of a let down. Beef was fine - we are in Calgary so shouldn't have too much probs there. The soup base was a bit watery and lacked that deep frangrant flavours that I associate with good Pho. It's still a return place if I was running around Calgary again. 3.5 stars! Cheers.

I did not order by number, I just asked if they could make this for me. What I got was so spicy that I had to ask for water and said I could not eat this. I only eat 25% and tried to eat the dish. She replied that The bowl was almost empty. She was not going to listen to me anyway. I have never experienced such poor service. We did spend money on other meals and beverages. I was calm at first , but the more the manager did not acknowledge me and make me being the problem, the annoyed I got. When requested that I did not what to pay for they mistake, I was treated so badly. I was told that I need to read the menus and advise the server what I can not eat. IE spicy, soy sauce, etc.. In her words. Not my job I think. The manager was very unyielding and would not hear my comments. This was to frustration more than anything. She went on to tell see me that this was the end of her shift and she did not have time to deal with this. That was obvious!!!! They have great food, but I was treated bad with a very moody manager. I am very reasonable person and have been in customer service my years.. I don't believe the customers are always right, but this was very avoidable. Sadly I will not recommend this restaurant.
