Dishonest mangement. I booked this hotel 9 months in…read moreadvance. They waited until the last minute just a few days before my prepaid reservation to email me to tell me they pulled a bait and switch. They took it upon themselves to change my reservation to a completely different, cheaper hotel owned by them in another, less desirable part of town. They made up a ridiculous lie to justify it and when I pointed out the obvious holes int their lies they insulted my intelligence with more far fetched lies. It cost me money to cancel the reservation and it cost me a considerable amount of time during my vacation on Easter weekend trying to make other arrangements that cost me a premium due to the last minute nature of my reservation on a busy week of booked up hotels. I visited the Kolberbrau on the same day I was supposed to stay and there was obviously no reason for them to do this to me other than they overbooked and decided to inconvienience someone who booked 3/4 of a year in advance. I suggest you look elsewhere if you want to actually stay in the hotel you booked and expect the management to be honest.

Most rooms benefit from free internet connection, if not, your hosts Herbert & Christine Geiger will welcome you in the comfy "Stube" which we used as our temporary office. Herbert once prepared a meal for the Duke of Edinburgh, so do try the home cooking at the hotel. Rooms are newly decorated, clean and "gemuetlich". The quiet location and comfortable beds provide a good nights rest. Off-road parking is provided but like the rest of Bad Toelz, security is not an issue. Prices are competitive, in fact they are very reasonable, especially when planing to stay for a longer period of time.
