Had dinner at Gypsy Kitchen this past weekend... Service is really friendly and food came out quickly. The restaurant is really pretty and it was great to be able to sit outside in nice weather in November! Food is just okay and most of it is swimming in grease. We had the Patatas Bravas, Brussels sprouts, a salad that came with bread and cucumbers, chicken, and asparagus. The highlight was definitely the asparagus but everything else just wasn't good or authentic in any way unfortunately. Prices are a bit high for the quantity...we paid about $120 including tip. Went for Valentine's Day dinner. First thing you see is a group of twenty people crowded by the door waiting to be seated, some in masks; some not. We walk in the door and there is a Spanish guitarist playing loudly 5 feet from the hostess desk, so nobody can hear anything through their masks. The place is absolutely packed to the gills - no social distancing whatsoever, and no staff doing anything to promote pandemic precautions. Shameful. The hostess gets confused about what table she's bringing us to, stops to get into a yelling match with another hostess as we're walking through the restaurant, and we eventually find our table. We order drinks and calamari as an appetizer. The calamari arrives before our drinks, literally 2 minutes after we order it...obviously not made to order. It was totally bland - no seasoning whatsoever. The menu said it came with fennel and pickled cherry peppers. We had 2 tiny slices of cherry peppers that actually made the calamari much better, giving it a pop. If only they had put enough on the plate to actually taste (making it to order probably would have helped that). My wife ordered the filet and prawn Valentine's special (waitress never asked how she wanted her steak cooked), and I ordered the seafood paella. My wife's plate showed up, and nothing came for me. The table next to us was in the same situation - lady's plate showed up, nothing for the guy. My wife had finished her meal by the time mine showed up, and our waitress couldn't have cared less. Her steak was about 1/2 an inch thick (filet?) and everything was lukewarm. She said it all tasted OK. Mine was fine. No crispy rice on the bottom like you want in a paella, but tasted OK. Certainly not the best paella I've ever had. They had 2 options on the menu for dessert. When we ordered one of each, the waitress told us the menu was misprinted and only one of the desserts was actually available - the other one was for the restaurant next door. We just gave up and left. Service was just bad...everybody was confused. On top of getting my entree 15 minutes after my wife did, on about 4 occasions people tried to deliver items to our table that were meant for others. Awful experience, both from the pandemic safety side and from the food side. Skip this place - there are so many better options; you'll just be wasting your money. read more

I sat on their beautiful and cozy rooftop and enjoyed the music playing while basking in the sun creating the perfect ambiance for a lowkey HH that I was looking for. I had the chicken flatbread which tasted both earthy and savory with a touch of sweetness from the balsamic glaze along with the crispy patatas bravas that had hints of spice that i loved. I also had a watermelon gin spritz that was perfectly light and refreshing. My server was friendly and helped me with anything I needed even went as far as to charge my phone for me before I left. Most places only get that vibe once the sun sets, but this place just has "it". We didn't wait long for a table, but it did take the server a while to even greet us. Came in last Thursday with my fiancé to catch their happy hour. This place has been on my list for a while! It's right in buckhead village. They have happy hour from 4-6 on the weekdays. We arrived at 5:30 and were able to catch it! They have a few tapas and flatbreads to choose from as well as a selection of wine and gin cocktails. We got two tapas and a flatbread as well as two glasses of white wine. The tapas are $4 each. We got the patatas bravas and the chicken croquettes. We also got the chicken flatbread which was $10, although the other flatbreads they offer at happy hour vary in price. It was all great! The potatoes were a bit spicy - or at least the sauce was. Yellowfin tuna- decent. the tuna was yummy and fresh (although sparse), didn't like the watermelon but the cilantro-lime sauce was delicious. Red Sangria- would not recommend.
