As a Senior citizen with a health issue, I joined Spirit Wellness Club as part of my health focus…read more The two most important aspects of joining were ( 1 ) Full Offering of Exercise Equipment, Classes and Proximity ( 2 ) An array of Spray Bottles & Towels for use after finishing on an exercise machine. - Spray Bottles & Towels are a Courtesy or Club Etiquette provided for being considerate of other club members After months enjoying my club membership it became noticeable that some members ignore or have reason NOT TO utilize this courtesy. I took the time to speak to Ted the Club Manager about this point and even suggested he consider posting a Club Etiquette sign along with others to remind members of this courtesy to other members. His replies were - a ) There are a few of the Club Etiquette posted that members don't follow, and concluded that posting another Club Etiquette sign would likely not help the Bottle/Towel issue. b ) The practice of using The Spray Bottles/Towels was initiated during Covid, but isn't a factor now. c ) He claimed that Spirit Wellness Club currently has no exposure to virus. That cannot be accurate fact. Because some member choose NOT TO utilize the Spray Bottle/Towel courtesy, I need to do so before & after exercise machine use to help protect my own health issue. A recent example of an older woman using equipment while noticeable sick with a cold and she did not use the Spray Bottle/Towel afterward. I would rate Spirit Wellness Club higher if this factor could be remedied. Hoping the Non-Spray & Towel members adjust their consideration out of respect for other members.

Not only is the coach a Marine veteran like myself. He also is a serious Jiu-Jitsu competitor! I could not believe my luck in finding this place in such a small town in Southern Utah. On a more serious note I had two rods put in my back years before finding Patriot and I wasn't sure I would be able to train. Coach Dwight gave me exercises that helped me eliminate pain and continue to train regularly. He also modified exercises for me when necessary so that I could get the training I needed. Not to mention that as a veteran, having an outlet like Jiu-Jitsu really helped me to relax and reduced my stress significantly. I love Patriot Jiu-Jitsu!

They moved from Houston; from a prestigious oil company management position. He worked his way up from the bottom, thirsting to know anything he could to make himself the smartest and strongest he could in his field, now he is doing the same in Southern Utahs fitness world. Many people suggested they start Retro in other places, but he wanted to be at home here. He took a leap of faith despite so many businesses going in and out and overcame many unexpected obstacles to get going. Very knowledgable trainers ...even for the experienced worker-outer! I've been a gym/club member for 20 years and have tried out gyms in every city and town I have been (and I am wonderlust), and Retro is ages ahead of any of them in equipment!
