We rented our apartment sight unseen from another state and arrived to find a clean, as described unit... Susan helped us narrow down the listings to a place that had everything we needed including proximity to desired locations amenities the unit actually ended up being a bit better than we anticipated. We actually have been renting from Gregg for the last 4.5 years and have had a great experience. Maintenance issues are remedied quickly and correctly. I would suggest renting from this company.

    Worst apartment management company in Madison. This all started when this company bought over the…read moreapartments that I was living in. This is the Nakoma Commons property. During the purchase they could not locate some paperwork and my first impression of this company was a letter on my door telling me to provide them this documentation that they lost or else I would get a 5 day eviction notice. This is to a tenant who has paid her rent on time and did not have history of bad issues. I was puzzled at the threat of being kicked out of my apartment for doing nothing wrong. When this eventually got straightened out, the misery and hell from this company continued. Upgrades to the property which are understandable started along with drilling hammering and pounding starting at 6 every morning. They even did remodeling on the weekends so the only time you got a break was at nights. Then there were the notices and emails. "Please remove your patio stuff as we're remodeling this area. Remaining patio items will be discarded." We got these notices the evening before they were to remodel the patio area. There were no apologies for our inconvenience. The notices were filled with spelling errors and looked unprofessional and just came off as rude. So I removed my patio furniture and put it in my storage unit. They did some whitewashing on the patio and that night I put my patio furniture back on my patio. The notice never said that we had to keep our patio furniture off of the patio indefinitely and this was still nice weather summer Wisconsin so of course when they finished the whitewashing that day, I waited 2 more days and then put my patio furniture back. I came home the next day to all my patio furniture on the other end of the yard for this apartment building. Apparently they needed to do more whitewashing, did not notify us, proceeded to move my patio furniture (which I'm glad they did prior to whitewashing) but then left it all in the middle of a yard. It was so rude and discourteous of my property. They made us move our cars from the parking garage many days without any refund of the parking garage payment that we make every month. Now all this although annoying, I've been able to put up with but today on Christmas morning, at 7 this morning, I was woken up by the usual drilling, hammering and pounding. On Christmas Day morning!! These people have no care or concern for their tenants. They communicate with us tenants like we're third rate human beings. It's very rude. They email tenants all the time without any care about our lives and emails are filled with spelling errors, vocabulary mistakes, and just look like they were written by someone that does not speak English. They're all from a woman named Susan Brown. When you meet her, she looks like she has the smell of poop under her nose at all times. Like everything in the world including meeting you disgusts her. She looks down on everyone and you can immediately tell that when you meet her. She talks to people like she's a 16 year old mean girl. Then all of a sudden, I see notices on multiple neighbors doors. I did some research and this is what I learned. I pay $630 for my studio apartment. This company bought this property and are not renewing any of the leases of every single tenant at this property. The reason? They are remodeling the apartments and then re-renting them out at the outrageous price of $775. This is the Nakoma Commons property. Have you seen this property? On top of being in a semi bad neighborhood, this property is not worth $775 for a studio space of 450 ft. Folks that have lived here for years are now being put out on the streets because this realty company only cares about making money and not about the welfare of the tenants that have spent years at this property at a price that they were comfortable paying. I also received a notice that my lease would not be renewed. Now, I'm looking for apartments and even nice studio apartments in safe neighborhoods are not $775. And the remodeling they did does not make the apartment worth $775.
