At 6:30 on a Saturday evening we had trouble finding anything open, other than bars. This restaurant was open and it was everything we were lookin for. The best meal I have had on our trip. Because we did not have a reservation we had to share a table with a young couple from Belgium that were on their honeymoon. That also was a great experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Sometimes, it'll also make you humbly realize that in some ways, you will probably always be considered as an ignorant foreigner. After a month living in Tirol and eating at almost every pizzeria this is by far the best pizza I've ever had, not only in Tirol, but in life. The stellar sauce is the key ingredient. Fresh, and wonderfully flavorful, they avoid overloading the base so the crust isn't soggy. Nothing beats the intense heat and smoky flavor that comes from a proper wood-burning oven and Pizza Geisterburg is doing an exceptional job at that. The small pool of oil that lives in the center of each carefully placed salami blends very well with the rest of the pie. Somehow, adding a drizzle of olive oil doesn't make it oily at all. Great tasting ingredients and wonderful cheese, unpretentious staff and lovely environment. Excellent, excellent pizza. I could eat here every day.
