The woman who was the manager and/or owner was very nice and spoke excellent English. We stayed in an amazingly huge room with a private balcony AND enclosed sunroom, which was great. Beautiful views, rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was good and well worth the 6 euros.

A family owned business, the hotel is run with a sense of pride. It is not a luxury hotel and its prices reflect that, but the breakfast service is excellent and the rooms and environment are genial and comfortable. They need to work on their WiFi, but that is a small complaint. Gelnhausen is a small town with the history of a major city and it has great rail connections, so I will continue to go back again and again. Especially when it means we can avoid the environment of Frankfurt.
