However, when I came in for my appointment the inside is beautiful & clean, the staff is so welcoming, and they educated me on my dental hygiene. The inside is nice and modern, they have cozy chairs and massage chairs. There was a lady frequently checking and cleaning the restroom. Those things are important because the dentist can be intimidating so it's important to feel comfortable. The receptionist is nice, I think her name was Aracely! Linda was sooo sweet, she honestly calmed my nerves! She made me feel comfortable, and answered any questions I had. There was also another girl that helped me, I didn't get her name. She was younger with a bun, and she was also so nice. I went in for a consultation and when I was finishing to make my appointment the receptionist was helping me choose a time. Two other workers chimed in to give feedback and their opinion about my appointment. They were able to input their opinion without being rude or belittling the receptionist and to me that shows they have a strong team here, and they other workers are listening and paying attention. So 10/10 teamwork, I'd rather everyone working be in my business suggesting/offering their advice, than going with an appointment time that may not have worked out. I came in for a cleaning, I haven't been to the dentist in years. I also came in for composite bonding. Robin, was the one who did my cleaning and she has great hospitality. She educated me so much on my teeth, and how they were when I went in, and how to maintain them. She pointed out what my previous dentist didn't do correctly, and she gave me in depth reasons as to why it was done improperly and told me how it should be done and she did that for me. Very sweet lady ! And I didn't get the name of the man who did my bonding, but he was nice. During my consultation he gave me a brief explanation about composite bonding and what not to eat. I will say that there was minimal conversation about how I wanted my teeth, I thought they would ask me what my goals were or what look I was going for but they didn't. Before the procedure started I asked him if he could add length to my two front teeth and he said he could maybe add a little length. The procedure was pretty quick maybe an hour, my teeth were done very nice. I did have a breakdown in the car because I wasn't used to them yet tho. After the procedure, we took a quick look he said give it 48 hours then call if I wanted any adjustments or changes, that I can floss don't be afraid to floss like normal, and he left. Super brief convo, I didn't get any aftercare tips or what to expect or anything. So when I got home I was panicking because my front two teeth had no gap, no space to floss. I just assumed it was because it was still freshly done, but even two days later I couldn't get the floss between my front teeth. It's been about two weeks, I still can't get floss inbetween them as easy as my other teeth, I had to force it in between. Over all, great staff, great work

Actually, my insurance had sent me to the dentistry, across the street from SFD, but they told me they would only take x-rays and do a cleaning for free. If I wanted my tooth fixed, I would need to cough up on the spot $1500 or some crazy ass amount. And that would be just a half payment. I am disabled and live off low income SSI. There would be no practical way I could ever pay in full. Most medical places don't understand that there is a reason why people like me have the crappiest of insurance. Perhaps this was a blessing in disguise though, as I did not like the staff and the attitude of the dentist. You could tell right away that money was all they cared about! Luckily, I was able to find SFD and right from the get go, they were so easy and wonderful to work with. They accepted my crappy insurance and they did more than a cleaning and x-rays. Dr. Nayyar addressed so many other things that needed attention and fixing; making sure my whole set of teeth looked as good as possible! You can tell right away that Dr. Nayyar cares about his patients. And that says alot about his character and the staff working with him! Also, I would like to say that his work is phenomenal and rarely does it ever actually hurt. I like to joke around that if I didn't have to open my mouth and answer a few questions, here and there, I would likely go to sleep---that's how comfortable the sessions are! I have never really liked my teeth---I would often get teased about them growing up---but thanks to Dr. Nayyar, it's the first time in my life where I actually feel comfortable smiling! As mentioned, both dentist and staff are decent and kind; always greet you warmly and ready to answer questions. Hell, one time they offered to call someone to come pick me up because I guess they thought I did not have a ride home. As I mentioned, the amount of care and actual respect given to you is a big reason why I love coming here and would absolutely recommend others to give it a chance. I can't give enough praise for Sierra Family Dentistry! Again, thank you to Dr. Nayyar and his awesome staff. Over the last few years or so, I was really going through it; had multiple medical emergencies and even more multiple surgeries. Sometimes this would put me on hold from coming in and I often felt bad, like maybe they thought I was avoiding my appointments or was scared of having my teeth worked on. So I apologize but I appreciate the patience... Overall, I don't have one bad word, experience or complaint against SFD and would rate it a perfect 5/5 score!

The office billed and collected payment from both insurance and the patient for the same period of orthodontic services, resulting in a confirmed duplicate payment. This has been verified by the insurance provider. When a refund was requested, the office stated it would only be issued at the end of treatment and only if an overpayment remains. This position ignores the fact that this is a confirmed duplicate payment, not a projected overpayment. Under California law, including Business and Professions Code §732, duplicate payments must be refunded within a specified timeframe upon request. Despite this, the office has refused to issue a timely refund. There are also ongoing concerns with communication and coordination within the office, particularly between orthodontic and general dental services.
