I HIGHLY recommend Resolved Taxes and Bookkeeping, which is a boutique tax preparation company…read more Over the past couple of years, I became increasingly frustrated with online tax software because it always seemed insufficient for my financial situation. I am a W-2 employee with a small side business, so I have deductions, withholdings, retirement accounts, and investments that online tax software doesn't always handle well. I often felt that the software was impersonal and resulted in missing small business tax advantages or deductions. When I found Resolved, I found Elijah to be incredibly personable, trustworthy, reliable, certified, and highly professional. When preparing my taxes, he takes a detailed look at my financial situation for the year, follows up with phone calls, and makes sure I've taken advantage of every appropriate tax advantage. For example, he noticed that TurboTax had overlooked an incorrect cost basis on a previous year's tax return. Because of his attention to detail and excellent service, he helped amend the return, which resulted in a refund. Additionally, their website portal is very easy to use for completing forms and uploading documents. I highly recommend this company if you are looking for a knowledgeable tax preparer who provides personalized service and takes the time to understand your unique financial situation.

On the few Yelp recommendations, I tried Gary at Live Oak Tax Works...Wow...What a professional. Gary really explained everything to me & I actually learned a lot- he knows his stuff, no doubt. I paid him a decent amount of money but, for me personally, it was worth every penny! I've only ever gone to H&R Block when I was younger so I'm not totally sure how CPA services work but I feel like he went above & beyond for me & not just by helping me catch up but by setting me up for future tax seasons as well!

Jimmy Hendricks used to say "I could just think...and my fingers would do". Those artists, athletes, parents, states-persons, mechanics, teachers...they inspire me and you know mastery when you experience it. I actually experience mastery when my wife and I meet with Jason. For me, it is more than having him on our team as our accountant, it is like going to a concert to witness someone who has mastery in their field. Working with him uplifts my spirits...and years ago, I did not think I would say that about working with an accountant! In my professional opinion (and having had mastery in ski racing in my youth), Jason is worth every penny to have on your families financial team. Cal O. Eagle, Idaho
