This is an excellent museum to visit. You will learn a lot about the gum digging industry, and you will also be able to read about a lot of the plants and animals that live in the forest here. Still. We saw a lot of birds on our walk on their two main trails. They also have a very good gift shop with a lot of good items made from Amber and other New Zealand items. This museum is about 3 km off the main road up to Cape Reinga, and we spent about 90 minutes there on our visit. It was excellent and I suggest everybody take a look if you are in the area. read more
