The employee in the store watched me browse and pick out these clothing items, yet it wasn't until I walked toward her to try the items on that she rudely told me "You can't try those on. No one can try anything on this close to closing" I told her she just lost my business and I went to put the clothes back although I wanted to throw them in a pile in the middle of the floor due to her hateful and slothful attitude. She said she didn't care she was losing business. After I put the clothes away, I walked over to the door of the fitting room to see if there was signage regarding the closing of the fitting rooms. The sign on the door said the fitting room closes 30 minutes before closing and I approached her 40 to 45 minutes to closing and it would have taken me no longer than 15 minutes to try the items on. After reading these signs I pointed out what the signs on the fitting room doors said and she said "Well I don't control that my managers don't want anyone in there after 4:00" I suggested she tell her managers to change the signs on the fitting room to comply with this rule and she snapped, "oh I will. I'll just tell them to take them down" You have completely lost my business, and based on other reviews, plenty of other customers' business due to a similar attitude problem with employees. If you can't treat customers with respect and decency, I hope you receive the consequences of the business you will lose

Most of the people working here are volunteers. Monies made from the sales go to Hospice care. Hospice has been active in this county since 1984. Many years ago, my dad was a recipient of 24/7 nursing care for the 8 days prior to his death. I've been a BIG fan of Hospice ever since. Prices are reasonable to high-- not consistent, which is why only four stars. Seldom will you find good quality antiques here, & if you do, they will be priced over their resale value. (I no longer bother looking for antiques @ this location.) The store was remodeled in August (2019); it's cleaner & much better organized. The clutter is gone. Still not seeing smiling, helpful faces, but I remind myself that they are volunteers-- God bless them for giving back.

My sister, dressed in her school shirt and a skirt, and my brother, both clean-cut, were excited to browse for homecoming dresses and accessories. While in the store, we were confronted by an older blonde woman with a harsh and agitated tone, who asked us, "What are you doing?" We were confused, but I calmly responded that we were just shopping, talking about homecoming and looking at shoes. She stormed off without further explanation, heading straight to speak with the main owner. A few moments later, the owner approached us with an uncomfortable smile, reminding us several times, "There are cameras here, so don't be stealing." Despite assuring her multiple times that we weren't there to steal -- and even telling her about the nearly $100 I've spent on jewelry for my girlfriend and sister in the past -- she kept repeating the same message. I've even had coffee with this owner in the past and my sister has spoken to her about prom dresses, yet here we were, treated like suspicious outsiders. This was deeply unsettling, and we couldn't help but wonder if it had to do with our Mexican heritage or simply the fact that we're brown. The atmosphere felt judgmental and biased, which was heartbreaking given our past loyalty to the shop. To make matters worse, I later learned that the blonde woman who aggressively questioned us has around $600 worth of merchandise in the store, which makes it seem like her racial profiling was even more personal, and that supproting the store could lead to supporting this hateful and deeply disturbing person. This left us feeling betrayed and uncomfortable in a shop we once enjoyed. It's also worth mentioning that several items my sister bought here broke after just one or two uses, signaling poor quality. This whole experience has tarnished what used to be a welcoming store for us. As a family with connections to the military, education, and athletics, it's deeply saddening to encounter such blatant bias in our own community. I can't recommend supporting a business where racial profiling and uncomfortable judgment are part of the experience. Zephyrhills deserves better.

Waste not, want not, right? Stained Market Place carries so many oddball pieces. Things you don't think you need until you see them and then wonder how you did without having it. Pieces that can come together and create a work of art. I took an old and weathered white picket fence and transformed it into two large garden signs that I gave as gifts.
