I made a whole account here just to let you know that Gulf Coast Auto Brokers sends out deceptive mailers and engages in deception to even get you onto the lot. If you get a mailer from them that claims you won anything: no you didn't. Even if the little pictures line up with a big prize, that is not at all how the "giveaway" works. The only winners are the handful of people who's numbers match a board shown at the dealership. In my experience, only one person will win each prize, while most if not all mailers will claim you won. The consolation prize that you legally won instead is just some random cheap stuff like a single lottery ticket. When I showed up and started asking questions, the salesmen shrugged it off and said "This is America, everyone does this". I sure hope that's not the official position of Gulf Coast Auto Brokers: "this is america so we rip people off just like everyone else must be doing". Hey Marcin, if you'd like to actually get customers, maybe don't hire salesmen who actively tell prospective customers that you're using deceptive marketing practices to get them in the door! During this whole ordeal, the salesmen were pestering me for my social security number, and were constantly trying to steer me into financing when I was very clear I was looking to pay cash. Overall a waste of an afternoon and gas, seriously stop with the deceptive mailers. Life is to short to waste on petty used-car salesmen like these. Is not a really impressed with this car dealership. This isn't the 1st time I bought a vehicle online sight unseen. Originally I found this truck on eBay and the pictures looked good, although this could be deceiving. During the transaction I was out of the country so this made things a little bit more complicated via email. The company wasn't willing to negotiate the price so I got all of the details and had my bank finance. When asked how I would pay initially I said I would put 10k down and have the rest financed through my bank. The next day the salesman asked how I was going to pay and I said I'm putting 10K down and financing the rest through my bank. I also send copies of my insurance and license during these exchanges. Day 3 I was asked how I was going to pay and I thought they were messing with me so I told them I would put 20k down and have the bank finance the rest. I thought we were good and had my bank send a check. So low and behold after getting approved for financing they said I will need to do a wire transfer and use their financing. Errr my gawd! So I went with their financing and had the truck shipped. This was a cheaper option than flying to Florida and driving this beast back. So when the truck arrived the driver told me I was responsible for paying the tab. So I was like hold up, wait a minute, something aint right. I told the driver I paid the dealership but he wouldn't offload the truck until I called the dealership. There was a lot of we paid the driver, no you didn't, yes we did, no you didn't going back-and-forth. Eventually I got sorted out. So the truck had a wet musty smell and the driver's seat was soaked. In Arizona the vehicle will dry relatively quick, but I had to run an ozone generator in there for a week to kill the swamp smell. On 1st glance I noticed some damage on the right side that was not disclosed and and the interior of the truck was super dirty. The seats were filthy, and and there was dust and dirt everywhere. This vehicle was not detailed and and they only wiped down a few spots. At this point I was aggravated but not mad yet. On my 3rd time driving it I got an error message and my speed was limited to 30mph. Then I got the check engine light. Now the truck won't drive so I towed it to the Ford dealership. They told me the exhaust fluid fluid heater went out and the part would cost $160 + $150 installation. Fine, just make it work. Also come to find out the engine oil and air filter have not been changed in forever. Now I am mad, they just flipped a truck to a sucker (me) like some shady dealership outside of a military base. I got most everything sorted out because I'm handy like that. I couldn't get the smell out of the seat so I ended up replacing is replacing the fabric and foam with new leather. The check engine light just came on again and it has something to do with the emission system now so I am so I invested in a warranty. At least the tires were new, someone left an Apple charger in their, and some napkins for when I make my own mess. Lastly it took me about 6 months to finally get my license plate. I had to call every month and they overnight me a paper plate. They said they couldn't get the plate because they need an emissions test, but the vehicle is exempt for the next few years. So I did go to emissions but they said I wasn't due, I insisted on the test because they needed it. Well with all of the check engine lights I failed emisions. Don't buy a vehicle from these guys. I purchased a 2019 ram 3500 almost 4 months ago. I am now in the process of having to replace the motor. They also sold me a warranty and payment still hadn't been made to the warranty company... so now I'm being threatened to be dropped from my warranty company. I understand its a used vehicle but they definitely knew about this and did a good job hiding it. After spending the entire day trying to speak with the finance manager AGAIN (after he supposedly took care of this 2 weeks ago when I called looking for answers)... he got it activated within minutes. Why wasn't this done when i purchased my vehicle/warranty 4 months ago? They have no problem breaching their contracts and failing to hold up their signed agreements, lawyer worthy. In the meantime my truck has been at the dealer in need of a new motor at a halt for 2 weeks because my warranty is inactive. After finally getting through today and expressing my frustration and looking for an explanation of why I'm even having to deal with this and why it wasnt done 4 months ago, the guy told me to go (F) myself. Tried giving this place a second chance after the first car I bought from them at 17 was far from what I was told it was. Now I go to buy a truck that needs some body work but I was good with that as long as the price came down, either got ignored or told the price was already too low for the truck. They singed my trade in for a dent on the fender and took $2k off the value they already gave me for my car but wouldn't come down on the price of the truck that needed both front fenders, mirrors, both bumpers, tailgate, interior had really bad stains, smelled like wet dog, front grille needed replaced and all 4 tires needed replaced but none of those issues would bring the price down even a little. Bought a 2016 Land Rover from this dealer. Within weeks of ownership, I have ongoing issues to include a improperly installed eco start motor, coolant leak in upper hoses, fuel pump and fuel pressure issues and multiple engine shut downs while driving. The vehicles error code history shows this was not an isolated incident. First used vehicle I've bought in 25 yrs. Before purchasing, take to get inspected first! Updated - I appreciate you response below but I actually did reach out to my salesperson and while he was polite with his response, he was also very dismissive of the issues. After multiple trips to the dealership, it has become evident that this vehicle has a history of the issues I've been experiencing. When you had the vehicle, I'm 100% certain you experienced the vehicle shutting down in ECO mode so that is why you replaced the secondary ECO battery. The problem is that was not the issue. The error codes point to a low fuel error related to the fuel pump and faulty module. There was also a leak in the upper coolant hoses which in order to replace, requires the removal of the entire engine manifold. The leak was not new and had been there for some time because of the amount of residue. Lastly, the front control arm bushings were worn and needed to be replaced. I am not a mechanic so when I purchased the vehicle, I would expect that a reasonable inspection of the vehicle would have uncovered at least some of these items. In fact, Basil told me that you have very good service technician and that the vehicle was in great condition. If you feel the need to discuss further, my number is in the sales folder. read more

Avoid this place at all costs. I spent two weeks working with a salesperson, getting financing figured out, agreeing on down payment, they ran my credit excessively, which has now negatively impacted my credit. On the day I was prepared to make the purchase, after getting all the details figured out, taking the day off of work, etc., as I was on the phone with my insurance company to pay for my insurance coverage for the vehicle I was going to purchase from this place, I was approached by a very stereotypical walking caricature of a used car salesman, who proceeded to tell me (despite having the down payment, cash in hand, and despite having been approved for financing prior to today), that "We're not selling you this vehicle", with no good explanation being offered, except for that some incompetent individual didn't do their job correctly (which is more of an assumption based on the lack of any clear explanation). So, they've trashed my credit, worse than it already was, I wasted two entire weeks dealing with them, and still have no vehicle, and absolutely no valid explanation for why I was not sold the vehicle. The only redeeming quality of this "business" is that they have a decent selection of vehicles. But, given the number of used lots in the area, they are not in any way shape or form worth doing business with. If your experience was better, great. This was my experience, and one I've never even heard of happening to anyone else, given all the details and time spent working with them on the terms of financing. I went into Gulf Coast Auto Brokers with the intent of buying a car. I got there. Looked around. They had approximately 250 nice looking cars. I was looking for an inexpensive BMW or Mercedes. They said they had one in a storage facility down the street. They went and got it. It was a decent car. It had obviously been in a front end collision. It was clear to me that the hood, bumper, left fender and right fender had all been repainted. There were also some new parts under the hood and some missing trim pieces. When asked, the sales person was upfront about the previous paint work. We drove the car, it drove nicely, had a clean Carfax report and had low mileage. The car was online for $10,600. When I asked the sales person what the price was he said $10,600 but immediately said he could do "10". Later I asked about the price and he said I already told you "$9,900". We had cash with us. We were ready to purchase a car. We probably would have done business at $9,500 but didn't make an offer. Although the dealership was upfront about the previous paint work we asked the sales person three times where the car came from. He said he didn't know and the dealership did not keep any records of where they acquired the car from. He also could not or would not call someone to find out. He didn't seem motivated to sell the car. He never asked us what it would take to earn our business. Never tried to put a deal together. He said the car had only been there two weeks and he wanted to give it time to sell (funny because we hadn't yet made an offer but probably would have purchased it that day). I just don't understand the sales strategy. I don't understand or appreciate the secrecy. I don't know why a dealer who works primarily on volume would want to hold onto a car for an undetermined amount of time to capture an extra couple hundred dollars. I bought a Ford F-250 from GCAB and was happy with the test drive although they said not to go on the interstate due to the fact that I didn't put a deposit down before the test drive!! I tested the 4x4 and was happy with it and the drive was good at 55 around town!! When I decided to buy the truck I asked to speak with a sales men!! ( Because only a young kid was available on the lot to do the test drive with me because the "truck specialist" was busy with another customer) I was told that the sales men would be done with the sale he was handling by the time I got back from the bank with the deposit and would answer any of my mechanical questions or concerns I might have!!! When I got back 2 hrs later no one was there but the loan officer and if there were any issues with the truck that I had 30 days to get any issues fixed by the dealership!!! So I signed the paper work and took ownership of the truck!! On the ride home on the interstate the truck began to spray coolant from the coolant jug but wasn't over heating!! The next day I took it back to GCAB and was told to take it to there mechanic down the road!! This guy that they sent me too was the rudest mechanic I have ever met!!! He began to yell at me and told me that he was tired of dealing with there shitty ass trucks and to take it somewhere else!!! I called the dealership and was told to hold on that they would call him!!! Ten mins later the guy comes over and says " give me the fucking keys" !!!!! REALLY!!! I got so mad that I got into the truck and went to the Ford dealer down the road and they were so nice they got me rental and said to give them a day and they would call me in the AM!!! When they called me back they had bad new for me in the form of a blown head gasket and another few grand worth of issues "which totaled to 3,859 in repairs!!!! The next thing I did was to call GCAB and tell them I wanted to trade the truck out for something else on the lot and would re do the financing and cover any adjustments in cost!!! They told me that the truck was sold as is and they were going to do NO SUCH THING!!! Needless to say I had the truck for a year and a half and put less than 5k miles on it due to the fact that the head gasket was blown and it would over heat!!!! I had to trade the truck in at a loss!!! But NISSAN OF VENICE took the truck to auction for me and got me into a beautiful Titan pickup fully loaded and gave me 1500 twords the junk they sold me!!!!! I would have never made this review but due to the fact that Gulf coast auto now owns the truck again after it went to auction and was bought for 15k they now have it on the lot again with the same blown head gasket and now they want 20k for it which is 3k more than what they sold it to me for 2yrs ago!!!!!!! Shady Business Practices. I was purchasing a 2015 Cadillac Escalade from out of state and went through all of the financing etc. My credit was pulled 2x once by the dealership and once by the financing company. I was told by the finance manager I have great credit and the vehicle was locked in and mine. I told him I was even willing to put 5-10K down over the phone but was told they do not do that. They said they would put the financing paperwork in the mail that day (Wednesday) and the vehicle was not going anywhere. The next day (Thursday) I did not receive the paperwork in the mail, So Friday at 9am I called my sales rep to ask what was going on. He informed me that the vehicle had been sold to someone else Thursday evening. I asked him how could this be when I was told the vehicle was being held, my credit was pulled and the paperwork was in the mail. I was told it was his managers decision. I asked for the manager to give me a call. Upon receiving this call the first words out of the manager mouth were "You should be glad you did not purchase that vehicle, let me explain" Then goes on to tell me that it had Transmission issues and shudders when shifting between gears. Then tells me that there were metal shavings in the transmission fluid. So either they sold this car out from under me to someone else and their were not any issues and he is trying to cover his @$$ or he was going to sell me/ sold someone else a vehicle with transmission issues. Unfortunately, these reviews are restricted to a limited word count. I'm not sure what this company's reputation is in the local area, but I would strongly caution against buying from them out of state. I purchased a 2004 F250 Harley Davidson Edition (VIN 1FTNW21P94EC16725) with 79k miles, 1 owner, listed as "mint truck" (currently listed as "nice") and rust free. "Mint" under any circumstances will naturally be relative to the vehicle's age, but I'm certain that under no circumstances could "mint" be used to describe a vehicle in need of $4000+ worth of major body work, as determined by 3 different repair estimates of $3700, $3900 and $4900, respectively (there were additional damages but allotted writing space warrants brevity). After viewing over 40 pictures online, speaking with 2 sales reps in addition to the general manager, and asking several times if there was anything that could be seen or was known to be wrong with the truck, I was repeatedly assured that there was not. The GM even stated that this was "the nicest truck of this year range and model he ever had on the lot in his 14 years there". After paying $900 to have it delivered, I noticed significant damage to the top of the cab within minutes of it sitting in my driveway. Also, the missing weather stripping had allowed water to seep in around rear window seal (rear power window also does not function properly). Their remediating offers were 1. $1500 refund and call it good. 2. I pay shipping back, they "fix" it without actually repairing it for roughly $700, most likely with a hammer, bondo and paint match (GM's blindly made guestimate....which to be so adamant in one's conviction that the estimates from 3 highly reputable body shops, each in business for well over 20 years were essentially wrong and overpriced, while concomitantly admitting to having no auto body experience of your own as per our conversation, is a bold statement indeed when made in absolute ignorance), and 3. I pay return shipping, contract is cancelled and funds returned...minus shipping. All offers were not only insulting, but highly frustrating as the truck never should have left the lot like that, which the GM interestingly stated himself in one of our several phone conversations. After the third estimate, which I had solely for a good 3 figure average to send to my attorney for small claims court, I decided to return the truck as there was additional (and pretty severe) rust found on the crossmembers under the bed. Parts of the undercarriage had also been spray-painted in an effort to hide....surface rust most likely. Essentially, a $4000-$5000 repair could have easily turned into a few to several thousand more. Lots of other cosmetic issues with this truck and no reasonable person, including judge and jury, would believe that such damage could be overlooked by so many people when I found it within minutes and minimal effort. Burden of proof to the contrary falls on the dealership. Purchase agreement had to be signed and payment made before they would post for shipping, so no prior inspection could have been made. If buying out of state, review Florida's Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices Act, which covers attorney fees in addition to repair costs if you feel the vehicle is actually worth keeping. The truck is now listed for the same price as it was initially, $21,888. It is highly unlikely that any repairs were made as they simply changed one word in the posting, "mint" to "nice". As with any used car dealership (in addition to the claim of not making any money on vehicle sales, which is almost as cliché as it is comical since I've never encountered a dealer who did not make this claim across 5 different states) problems only arise when there is a problem with the vehicle, and typically a significant one, like this. Salesmen and reps are nice and polite and will say or do what they must to make a sale as that's the nature of the business. In probably 90% of the cases, there will be no issues, a person will be satisfied with the transaction and have nothing bad to say of their experience. If there is an issue, then it becomes a different story. Rectifying the situation will be on their terms only and at the least possible cost to them. Lastly, after they received the truck, it took 5 business days of constant calling and hounding for them to initiate my refund. "As is" and tricky fine lined purchase agreements are not always a "gotcha" regarding legal recourse, it just depends on your specific circumstances, determining the actual "worth" of the vehicle and finding the right attorney(s) accustomed to dealing with this kind of thing (for future reference Gulf Coast Auto, fix yourselves). No need for reply GCA unless for some reason you feel it absolutely necessary. read more

Appraised the wrong vehicle and when I inform him they said they don't have any knowledge of this car which is a Ford Focus. He was to busy on his phone to even talk to me so we just left. Mark is the worst. Sold my mother and I an 07 Passat- seemed amazing at the time. Would not start the third day I brought it home- turned out the battery was old and on its last leg. Got an oil change and oil was empty- had gone through entire reserve in three weeks- learned it was a broken turbo that's gonna cost about 2,000 to fix. Also the air had a leak. He sold us the car 'as is' and made sure he covered his ass- took advantage of two unknowing women. Of course when we did a little test drive everything was fine, we didn't know any better. Bring a mechanic if you are unfortunate enough to go here. Would give negative stars if I could, this drained the money I had saved for grad school. Also as a side note I had texted mark telling him about these problems and he insulted me saying I had offended him by implying he knew about these things- he yelled that I would get bad karma for accusing him and he wouldn't help me. Wow, wish I would have read these reviews before we went. Funny we also had our truck 3 days and it wouldn't start!!! And both batteries were bad and had to spend over $300 to get new ones. Thank god we got the warranty however, it's been at their mechanic's for 3 days and they say it's been starting fine and act like nothing is wrong. They seem really nice when you go in and make a purchase but other than that they have crappy attitudes!! read more

PISSED OFF, UNHAPPY CUSTOMER!!! 2011 F250 bought 3/11/2017 with under 73,000 miles Mark Vann and Marcin don't give a rats ass about their customers so lets see, I guess I can post this everyday until maybe they will fix my truck!!? Mr Bailey the finance guy seemed at least pleasant to deal with. This Dealership sells used vehicles, feeds you bullshit line, that they have had factory dealers mechanics work on vehicles and offer receipts, I never got my receipt... The engine light was on at my test drive , Marcin hooked a programmer to see what the code was?! Light went out. Made the deal signed with one of their financial companies they offer..paperwork did not have correct figures as I had a text message from Marcin of what the final price was, they changed it $100 big deal(but my money, right). Signed and Marcin ran away from me like I had the plague.. keys were in the truck ready to roll... feeling pretty good. Stopped less than 3 miles from the lot, had lunch with my daughter, 1 hr max.. Started truck, engine light comes on, What?! Call Marcin at Gulf Coast Auto Brokers, he tells me it must be the fuel cap? What?! I took the fuel cap off looked at the seal and tightened it till it clicked, restarted truck..stupid light still on! I call Marcin back, then he told me to drive it the light will go out after in runs and gets warmed up? Drove this truck for a week.. freaking light is still on!!! I have emailed Mark Vann and Marcin at the dealership notifying them three times there is a issue and I want the receipts so I can go find out who supposedly worked on this vehicle and have them make the corrections, that I was told were done?! But, I have had no response, from either of these people.. So I will take this post down when I get some results. And I am also posting on Google, BBB, and any other forum that does customer reviews.. Pissed Off Truck Buyer! read more

Terrible dealership. One word to describe the foreign ownership of this car lot "GREED" sold a vehicle out from under me for few hundred dollars more after we agreed on a price, gave them $500 deposit, purchased one way flight which was non refundable. Was told a load of lies about why they cancelled the deal on the truck. Lies about them taking it to a factory dealership to fix check engine light. And the dealer saying warranty was void because someone tampered with emissions. Of course the dealership they supposedly took it to has no record of the vehicle coming in. Unbelievable the stuff these guys try and make up. When inquiring about the truck they picked up the call every time. But when there's a problem you can't reach MGR or sales guy for anything. Won't return calls or texts. Don't waste a minute of your time at GULF COAST AUTO BROKERS. I hope this review saves you some headaches. read more

I almost fell for their lies when looking at a mercedes S550. I thought that the price on a S63 AMG was to good to be true but I had to go see for myself. Mark represented it as a real S63 and not the S550 that it actually was. Thank god I saw the deception before signing the paperwork, no wonder the price was so cheap! read more
