Dear Mr. James Bass, I seriously don't know how to begin…read morewith thanking the very best Funeral Home for going above and beyond yet again. Emerald Coast Funeral Home, Mr. James Bass, Jeffrey, Matt and so many of you, went above and beyond for my husband of almost 47 year's married and almost 50 year's together. You again, far exceeded my expectations with all your outstanding detail. My Dear Husband could not have asked for a better Funeral. It was everything he asked for and far more. I thank you with all my heart. You all provided an excellent service, as you did with my late daughter, Sweet Kathleen Dorothy Quill 10 year's ago, this coming December - 22nd. As far as pre-planning, I can not recommend it enough for anyone reading this and contemplating as to whether or not to go ahead with a pre-planned Funeral. My precious daughter whom passed almost 10 year's ago was a shock. A bigger shock was planning a funeral with nothing saved for such a tragedy. After my daughters funeral we looked straight in to pre-planning and I feel extremely blessed that we did. When my Dear Husband passed earlier this month, only one call was made to Emerald Coast Funeral Home, they took over and took care of everything. My husband received the best care from Emerald Coast Funeral Home and again, they went above and beyond. They left no stone unturned. I even panicked because I couldn't find my husband's name tag for his military uniform. Needless to say, Emerald Coast Funeral Home, followed through with a new one. Should I begin pre-paying for my own funeral? Most definitely, I wouldn't want to put any loss or responsibility on my family or anyone around me. It gives me great peace of mind and takes all the worry away. Definitely something you should consider. A + care too and from our very own Emerald Coast Funeral Home. I thank each and everyone of you again, with all my heart. Thank you, Kind Regards, Dorothy (Dolly) Quill Lady-q@hotmail.com

My mothers health crisis, and death was extremely unexpected and when I arrived at the funeral home, I was treated with the utmost respect by the staff. Justin, Malachi, etc we're all consummate professionals from the very beginning. Like many people that are confronted by the untimely decisions that come with an unexpected death..I was a bit emotional at the time everything transpired when I arrived at their business. They took the time to explain every decision to me, make sure I understood everything that I was signing, and helped me along with one of my friends pick out the stationary, the vault, casket, organize the services, etc. They and their staff were constantly available to answer any and ALL questions I had which took a huge amount of stress off of my shoulders. It was also extremely convenient how I was able to upload the selections of the songs that were played in rotation at the memorial, as well as the pictures on the website for the chapel services. After the graveside service by my moms chosen pastor they remained in contact to answer other questions that I had regarding followups about the death certificates as well. In addition, they worked to get the funeral done in a professional expedient manner despite the fact that it was a holiday weekend. They actually called Beal Memorial cemetery ahead of time - to make sure that the manager was on staff so I could set up everything there. I made it there with an hour to spare! If I could give both them and their staff 10 STARS I would.

My dad passed away on November 13th, and we just now received his ashes 1 month later on December 10th. We also haven't received 1 phone call from Family Funeral giving us updates. NOT ONE PHONE CALL. WE had to reach out and call for an update. Look at your call logs, and find out how you dropped the ball. Please keep in mind you and your staff are dealing with GRIEVING FAMILIES. You need to go over and beyond in this industry. The lady who works the front desk is not helpful. She told me to call the medical examiners office to receive an update. I called the medical examiners office, received an update, and call her back to give her the update. Might as well send me my own 1099. My mom and I have talked to multiple families who recently lost a loved one, and they all picked Heritage Gardens in Niceville. THEY RECEIVED THEIR LOVED ONE'S ASHES BACK IN 1 WEEK. Since you proudly have a flyer posted in your office and online how you have the cheapest rates........ you failed to mention you're the slowest company in the business. Everyone has been absolutely shocked that it has taken 1 month. When we signed the original paperwork, you had said "The state has 3 days to sign paperwork." 3 DAYS. 3 DAYS. 3 DAYS. Do not sell people on this. Please explain the ENTIRE timeline to the next family. You did not keep up with your communication. You never called us. We essentially did your job calling you for an update. You kept blaming it on the medical examiner, but you should have informed your clients. You should have kept them updated. Pass the blame all day long, but please update your clients. Please also note that you do not work on weekends. Your answering service team that you pay for, either do not relay the messages or you just don't call back. We can finally start the grieving process now that we have the ashes. Your establishment, the entire lack of communication has been absolutely awful. You say you have 30 years in this industry.... you might want to readdress your business plan model and make a few changes. The biggest take away from this review: COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR CLIENTS, AND CALL GRIEVING FAMLIES TO GIVE THEM UPDATES. GRIEVING FAMILIES SHOULD NOT HAVE TO CALL YOU. YOU NEVER CALLED US ONCE. Note: Reading the Certificate of Cremation, my dad was cremated on December 3rd. Today is the 10th, as we received them. What was going on between the 3rd and 10th? We could have picked them up at any point. UPDATE: I asked you for my dads finger prints and you sent me ONE of his right index finger. You forwarded me an email with just a JPG. No timestamp, no official documentation. I asked you to send me official copies, and you said "We do digital prints, no ink prints." I emailed you back and said, "Since we never received one phone call from your establishment, except to pick up the ashes we never knew you did digital and not ink prints. You have made a mockery of our loved one. No communication from your establishment. Look at your call logs or my multiple reviews. You ruined our grieving process. That finger print honestly looks like bodily solids from a toilet. This looks like a fake fingerprint, and you have no proof that this is his real fingerprint. We need a timestamp and name for this fingerprint." STILL NO EMAIL BACK OR RESPONSE FROM YOUR ESTABLISHMENT.
