I used Gulf Coast Aluminum to erect and screen after Hurricane "IAN". The cage needed to be replaced, they suggested some changes, that were spectacular. Work was completed on time, site cleaned up, all to our satisfaction. Then, along came Milton. and we lost the screen. Andrew, my service coordinator gave me a fair price (discounted) to replace all the ripped screen, and labor. The men who came to do the actual work, were very knowledgeable, courteous, and make "on the spot" changes. They were Kyle, & Jon, Kevin. The company was a pleasure to work with. We recently had an issue with our lanaI, that was originally installed by Gulf Aluminum in 2017 @ the cost of $15,800. The fasteners that attached to our pavers all fell out. We called Gulf Coast and they quoted us $805. We agreed, as without the fasteners holding the lanai, our expensive investment was at risk. Andrew quoted us $805. We made an appointment and new fasteners were installed. The job took 15 minutes! I called Andrew to express our displeasure with the costly expense of labor and material. He refused to give me a break down, he said you agreed to the price and I don't have to give you any further information. I told him that I was going to write a review about our negative experience. He kept saying I was trying to extort him! I told him that-was not the case and that I only wanted him to be fair! I don't think asking for a breakdown of labor/material is extortion!! read more

gulf coast aluminum did our linai and concrete flooring in the linai, within a few weeks the concrete has big long cracks, peeling paint, the installed the drains and the workers applied concrete to the drain, uneven concrete water comes towards the house instead of away from the house. they got paint and concrete on my window frames and existing walls, the door they installed was installed uneven. the worst is I called the owner and he told me he would not come back to repair any of the awful awful work they did. i tried putting an insurance claim with the insurance they gave me and they don't have coverage for the work they did. I can't stress enough to NOT hire this company. read more

Install Team 1 called on the way to the job site, then later updated us with pictures and a text letting us know what was going to be done next. They found a few issues that needed to be addressed as they built the cage. First time doing this so we didn't now what to ask, however Team 1 explained what was most important. They had the Cage completed in four days. Thank you for your communication and the open feel of the cage is amazing. read more

Landscapers damaged a lower screen. Contacted GCA that afternoon and they were able to complete the repair early the next morning. Our tech, Sam, was very courteous and concerned with our satisfaction. Highly recommend. Thanks! read more

I did a lot of research before going with Gulf Coast their quote and sales people were very good. Now 14 months later finish is coming off brackets and their service and quality does not match theirs sales. Below are e-mail comments from them that are upsetting. Tom Davis Sep 23, 2020, 12:29 PM (23 hours ago) to tom, andrew, alex, me, Dawn We definitely can but like I told you it won't be covered in our warranty. No.1 We replace them with the same metal clips and hope for the best. I understand that you feel you paid thousands of dollars and everything should be not chip. We buy the best materials possible always and a service tech is really backed up right now but will put you on there and do it for free. If you guys are willing to give us a good Google review or Facebook review No.2 I would recommend spray paint or not look at them. These two comments you made in your email make me think I had the wrong company to start with. As a customer service representative most of my life I don't think either one of these comments is something I would said to a customer. I am unhappy and will not be bribed to write a good review. Buyer beware. read more

Sam arrived early, gave me an exact cost, did a great job and did it quick. I totally recommend this company and will use them again in the future read more

Got to admit I was a little skeptical with this process, but WOW is all I can say! From the minute I called and requested a quote, to Joe and John and their crew who completed our project, everyone has been wonderful. Joe kept us up to date with the progress of our project; always calling me and filling me in with any concerns. We absolutely LOVE the results. Our cage was installed in 1999 and so you can only imagine what it looked like. It now looks like a brand new install and we couldn't be happier! THANK YOU JOE and team for all your hard work at our home in Cape Coral, FL. read more

I asked for a quote and was told they don't repair 2 story screens. I get that, but when I asked for a referral of someone who does, they refused to give me one. They are not recommended by the BBB. You're better off using someone else read more

We recently had our Pool cage restored by Gulf Coast Aluminum and we are amazed at the transformation. It looks brand new again! We saw their ad on Facebook and sent a message for a quote. They called us the next day and within a short period of time they were on the job. Jesse and his crew were very thorough and within a week, our pool cage project was complete. They were very responsive, paid attention to detail and addressed any of our concerns. We are more than pleased with the end result. read more

Tried repeatedly to have lanai screen and gutter repsired. No one shows up for appointments. No call backs. Plently of other options. I will use someone else who WANTS my business. read more

Quick efficient service. The crew knocked out the job quickly and efficiently. The turn around time from date of contract to job completion was less that two weeks. I know this varies based on season and backlog, but just the same we were pleasantly surprised. Well done. read more

I have to tell you this company was easy to work with and did a nice job. They scheduled me up fast and took care of business immediately. The screened in lanai looks great. I priced out three companies. They were not the lowest bid but were the middle bid. The service and product was all good. I would use them again if needed. read more

Great quality, really nice staff. The project was on hold waiting for pavers to be installed. They kept in touch and got to work as soon as the entry way was ready. Love the results! read more

I called two different numbers to schedule an estimate to refinish my pool enclosure and re-screen it entirely. Each time, a recorded voice asked me to hold on while they TRIED to connect me with a human. After 10 or 15 seconds the voice came on again saying "no one is available to answer your call. Goodbye" and my call was disconnected. Good grief! I guess they're not interested in my business or they would have allowed me to leave my name and telephone number for a callback. read more

Three stars were given not for the work done but for the financial aspect of this company. First of all the price for the work has doubled in a very short period of time. I chose GCA because my brother used this company and was very satisfied with the work a couple years back (his price was half mine with same dimensions). Two things to be clear on with this company 1) they want to be paid by check/cash. Wasn't aware that they are not accepting credit card payments at the getgo, only after discussing sending in the deposit did I hear about no credit card payments. It was explained to me that credit card companies charge a fee and GCA doesn't want to pass along those charges to clients (imagine the costs for project with added fees). Interesting to note there was no discount for cash payments. 2) Ask GCA if there is a chance for added fees. Soffit painting is an extra. The person who came out to plan the project mentioned my adjacent tile path can be pressure washed but the path wasn't pressure washed. GCA should have explained added cost for soffit painting. Work wise the pool was covered for the screen application but I think the pool should be covered at the start. Had a lot of metal shavings and screws in the pool that jammed my vacuum. For 12k I feel if GCA wasn't going to cover the pool at the onset, GCA should clean up the screws and other debris at the bottom of the pool. read more

We had our pool cage resprayed from white to bronze. They did an amazing job. Crew was great , everyone was great . All new screens , changed EVERY screw and capped all of them , new hardware on the 2 doors. 3 days later we had a brand new pool enclosure . I would highly recommend Gulf Coast Aluminum !! read more

One of the best contractors I've ever worked with, and I've worked with quite a few. Joe and his crew were prompt (8 am, every day), polite, professional and very hardworking. They kept us apprised of every step through group texts with the crew. Job was completed in less than two weeks, even with rain delays. Every bolt and tie down replaced, new electrostatic paint, and new superscreen. We're ready for hurricanes now, and our cage looks better than new! read more

I used Gulf Coast Aluminum for my Bonita Springs house and they did a great job! They added on both an addition and refurbished my current cage and made the old part of the cage look like new and match the new addition perfect. They really give great customer service as well. Since I was not there for work they would send me pictures and updates daily. They finished the job quicker then the estimate as well. Tom and his crew where really great to work with i would highly recommend them. read more

Called and spoke to Corey on Thursday morning requesting an estimate and to inquire if they were operating normally. He indicated they were and asked me to send him some pictures of the job I was requesting (re-screen lanai). I immediately send the photos to him. It is now Sunday morning and I haven't heard a word. If I can't get an estimate, I surely can't expect them to do the job. They are now on my "do not call" list. read more

The staff starting with the gentleman that gave me a quote to the installers are all very knowledgeable, pleasent, professional and efficient. Would recommend them every time!! Called to obtain estimate and really wanted to work with these folks based on Yelp reviews. We called to set up an appointment for major screen repair, rather than coming to the home Golf Coast requested we send photos of repair needed. We promptly did as requested. called several times to follow up, no one seemed to know anything about our request for an estimate. Attempted to motivate Gulf Coast to follow up and provide an estimate so that we may hire them. Clearly Gulf Coast is very busy and way too busy to call us or e-mail an estimate. Happy to take our business elsewhere. That was money that walked out the door. read more

These guys did an awesome job repairing our screens. Very professional, courteous, reliable, And were the only ones that got back to us immediately after calling multiple screen companies. Will definitely read more

We were very satisfied with this company until they inflated their pricing during the aftermath of Irma. I can understand setting a new minimum but raising prices significantly and setting a nonrefundable $500 deposit to book an appointment are just gouging. Their conduct is short sighted and we gave our $700 in screen tepaird post Irma to a company that chose not to gouge even their new customers. Bayshore screening in Cape Coral is now our go to company. read more

Awful experience and poor quality. My cage still has problems and it's been 11 months! My job was poorly handled from the beginning. Still having problems. When I call to address more concern, I'm treated as if it is my fault for calling so much. If the job was done correctly from the beginning, this wouldn't be an issue. Or if the Project Manager scheduled a time to come out to meet with me when the job was completed and I first called to provide feedback on the issues on the job, we could have reviewed the entire cage to address the many (most serious) issues all at once. The cage was poorly constructed...bent pieces, pieces not fastened together with screws, screws exposed, large gapes between pieces in the middle of the cage. Just a shoddy job. Even the inspector who came out said I needed to demand they fix the quality of the cage. And instead of doing things right and recutting aluminum pieces tp fit the way they should, they filled gaps with caulk. To make things worse, on August 1 I had an appointment with a project manager to come out and look at the final repairs necessary to complete my cage. The guy came, took pictures, told me all of the fixes they were going to address and said he would be in touch. I called a week later as two of the three doors on my cage still were not working and left a message for both the project manager and their main voicemail. For the next four weeks I left voicemails and sent emails all with no return. I left a total of at least 8 inquiries and still to this day, 3 months later, I still have had no response which includes no contact regarding the final repairs they needed to make that were discussed on August 1 to complete my job. Having a pool cage installed is not a cheap endeavor. This was close to a $20,000 job. You would think when you are spending that kind of money, they would give a damn about not only the quality of their work, but the customer. While I know Hurricane Irma is effecting many of these businesses right now, I wish I could say that was why I haven't heard from them, but they had two months prior to Irma to return a phone call. They clearly don't care about their customers or completing their jobs. read more
