This place is a joke, and we've gone here for the last time. On our last visit, as per usual, they…read morehave the heater cranked way up, never enough places to sit down and they barely even acknowledge you when you walk in, much less provide any indication that they give a damn that a customer has arrived.
If you're lucky, they tell you that someone will be with you and then ignore you for another twenty minutes while you roast to death in the heat. Everyone working here moves like a complete snail, to the point where it's embarrassing even compared to the rather low bar that any frequent traveler to Denmark would learn to expect. You see, there's the usual Danish apathy towards customers, and then there's the Louis Nielsen approach where you almost get the impression that they despise the customer and would prefer that you just go away.
In our most recent encounter, which is what prompted me to pen this review, we ordered some glasses for my wife and were told they would take a month to get in. They arrived in under two weeks, because as per usual the staff had no idea what they were talking about when they claimed it was a complicated, non-standard set of lenses that required a lot longer to be made. We were excited because this meant we could get them fitted and adjusted before having to return to the U.S., which we didn't think would be possible.
The kicker, however? When we finally show up to collect said spectacles, the trained staffer (Charlotte L.) offers to "adjust" them and immediately snaps off one of the supports for the nose pad. She destroyed a $400+ pair of eye glasses not 30 seconds after she took them out of the bag they had been shipped in, and before my wife even once put them on her face. Not only that, but she hides it, runs around the store like a chicken with her head cut off and having hushed conversations with another employee before finally telling us that they're broken. Even then, she has to be pressed before she'll admit that they were broken in the store, but will never admit that she was the one who did it.
We never got an apology, and to put salt in the wound, we also couldn't get our money refunded on the spot. Apparently they have some idiotic policy that forbids them from refunding that much cash from the register, so we had to have the money put into a bank account instead, and that takes around a week to get processed.
That's right, paid cash for a pair of glasses which they received in less than half the time they quoted us, only to have a clumsy employee destroy them in under a minute and be unwilling to apologize and unable to furnish a refund.
We are never, ever setting foot in this place again. They have a poor selection of frames, absolutely terrible customer service, they turn they showroom into a sauna and apparently can't even adjust brand new glasses without destroying them. When you can't afford to provide a refund to your customers, that's another huge red flag.
Stay away from this place, there are plenty of other competitors in the area. Ridiculous.
