Bought my son his first guitar from here as well as the books neede for his lessons. they were helpful and let my son try afew guitars and then assisted me in finding the correct books that were requested by my sons tutour for his lessons. I ordered an amp from Guitar Mania which they had advertised as the latest model. When the amp was delivered I was annoyed to find that it was a discontinued model - very different to the model I was expecting. They reluctantly accepted that they had sent the wrong amp but tried to talk me into keeping it (offering free strings etc). They finally agreed to a return, but refused to cover the cost for the amp to be returned - which cost me £21. Had they 'done the right thing' and covered the cost of the return, I would have left it at that, just put it down to experience. However, the fact that they expected me to be out of pocket for their mistake is unacceptable. I can't understand how a shop that supposedly takes pride in its 'customer care' would treat a customer like this - very poor. read more

I sent an email regarding the availability of rather expensive pickups at lunchtime, got an answer with details within 2 hours. Order got processed in the afternoon. Besides the system email had a personal notification of shipment. Got the goods by lunchtime the next day. For this effective and friendly communication and handling of the order, it could very well deserve 5 stars, I keep this for problem solving situation. Took my Mackie mixer in for repair, was quoted £65. Received a call from GM within a week to tell me that the repair was easier than expected, and charges were knocked back to £45. On top of the friendly and prompt service, the £20 was pure bonus!! Highly recommended.... read more
