One of my absolute favorite Clevelanders and DJs in the NE Ohio area!…read more I've worked with Brad Petty (MisterBradleyP) so many times that I think I've actually forgotten who recommended him to me... either way, I'm here to pay it forward. Not only is he great for any party you're throwing, but you can find him around town spinning some great tunes at local establishments (B Side, etc.). He's perfect for any occasion and doesn't bore you with America's Top 40 garbage (thank GOD!) In the past I've had to worry about renting equipment for DJs at my events, but Brad has always brought everything he needed to be an awesome one-man-show! He's always on time and set up before you can even ask if he needs help. Beyond that, I've hired him to play in the most random spaces and he's always found a way to be set up and running, no matter how many power outlets he has access to, how tiny the space is, etc. Furthermore, he supports many other DJs locally and regionally, which I think is pretty darn awesome. Professional, talented and easy to work with, all around great person--plus I guarantee he'll make you dance. Highly, highly, highly recommended!

I took a new student half hour lesson yesterday with Eddie. I'd never tried salsa or tango before,…read morebut in half an hour he taught me several basic steps and had me absolutely hooked and ready to come back all December for more classes! Even though I initially felt awkward and out of place trying such intimate dance styles with a stranger, he was the definition of a personable professional and made me feel incredibly at ease! He was encouraging yet not over the top with praise (genuine) and the whole time was also giving me the history and background of both dances! Nika at the front desk was incredibly friendly and helpful too- ranging from helping me with a new mask to scheduling my next classes. Finally, every month or so they have a weekday casual social salsa dance. Pay 10 bucks, BYOB if you'd like, and dance the night away! It was at this dance- keep in mind I have had exactly one half hour salsa lesson in my life- where I had the great fortune of meeting the incredibly down to earth owner of Viva, Parker, and a friend, Miguel. Even though I warned them about my inability, BOTH gentlemen took time from the party to dance with me and made me feel like a first rate rock star! I was giggling the whole time and just had such a blast with this group of learner-friendly talented individuals. You must try this place out as they have multiple styles and levels of dance class both group and private. You won't regret meeting these passionate folks!

I had the amazing opportunity this past weekend to attend a social and private lesson at Viva…read more Having never done this type is dance before, I was naturally nervous, but as soon as I got there, I found there was no reason to be. Everyone was so amazingly nice and open, and they are truly a credit to their craft. It takes a certain talent to teach a group of people how to dance, at all different levels and experience, and not make it intimidating. It was all about having fun and actually enjoying dance. During the social I was observing the room and saw how dance has brought together people of all different ages and backgrounds to just enjoy music, dance, and each other. Viva is truly a special place. They teach, encourage (and push you when you need it), all the time making it fun and and exciting. Thank you so much to Rebecca, Eddie, Parker, Nika and Roger for everything!

There is really only one word to describe these guys, amazing! We would 100% hire them again (and…read moreagain and again). Do yourself a favor and hire them. Let me add the caveat that we do not know the band personally so this isn't a review from someone's family member. We learned about them when looking at bands online. Here are some specifics. The Cleveland Keys: * Showed up several hours early to get set up to make sure there weren't issues (helpful on stressful wedding days) * Were friendly, courteous, etc the whole time * Got a whole group of older guests (70+) onto the dance floor (no easy feat) * Took open requests for songs - this is pretty amazing as how many bands can play anything * Allowed several drunken guests to attempt to sing (and helped them along with vocals) * Gladly let a guest play guitar with them (the guest was good at guitar but still most bands would be annoyed having a guest join in) We requested a song they didn't know and they learned it on their break and played it after - it sounded great. We didn't hear anything but positive comments from guests. What more can you ask for. On a scale of 1 to 10 these guys were an 11. Hire them.

I hired him for a charity event where the crowd was mostly adults, but some children. He is very talented, engaging and you can tell he loves his craft. The adults adored him, and more importantly, he's extremely nice - like we've known him forever! He was fabulous at taking requests and suggestions and came fully stocked with an arsenal of colors, shapes and sizes to create just about anything. I will absolutely book him in the future and recommend him for any type of event! Awesome dude!

This used to be the Irish Heritage Center but was bought by Ahern's and renovated. The top…read morepriorities for me when choosing a wedding reception site were: 1) convenient location for my guests, 2) classy, comfortable space, 3) really good food (it's really a glorified DINNER party, isn't it?!?), and 4) competent staff. Ahern's is all of these things and they made our reception this past February truly fantastic. Lucy is the no-nonesense, very capable manager. She essentially served as our personal party planner before and during the event and took care of everything, communicating with the other vendors (DJ, photographer, florist, etc.) and making sure the party continued to progress so we could just sit back and enjoy our guests. Aherns is their own caterer and can do either a sit-down meal or buffet (or cocktail reception) with almost endless entree options. We went with the buffet and an open bar so guests could enjoy as much or little as they wanted and it worked perfectly. I think we were pretty low key but did have a few special requests and they were professionally executed by the staff. There are two banquet halls of different sizes but they have separate entrances and bathrooms and a service hallway runs between them so you wouldn't even notice if another event was happening during yours. The halls are already very elegant so we didn't spend any money on decorating other than flower centerpieces but the space could certainly accommodate any over-the-top additions you might want.

My review on Brian Masters - Master Magician: Brian…read moreapproached our family when we were enjoying an outdoor brunch in Ohio City. He ran through a few magic tricks and we were blown away by his skill and humor. I contacted him after to see if he'd be interested in doing a 1 hour walk around magic performance for a large adults birthday party and he agreed. He was prompt to arrive and work his performance with the different groups at the party. There were a couple of young kids who followed him around from group to group trying to figure out how he did his tricks but they weren't successful. The adults in each group (maybe 4 to 8 in each) were thoroughly entertained and several mentioned to my wife and I afterwards that it was extremely entertaining. I highly recommend Brian for any group events that you may need entertainment for.
