Brisket plate 2 sides

Yummy this a fabulous hole In the wall!! The BBQ infusion with Louisiana creole is almost too good to be true I ate the loaded boudin! Spicy ! I bet the boudin are delicious without the topping because the dirty rice is excellent. The meat was tender with each bite. Potion size absolutely felling. I would go back! Service was quick and they are kind as well they checked on us more than once really a good group. Excellent southern hospitality

Good home cooked bbq ! Pull in after a day out paying bills and shopping, makes you feel at home. Customer service was excellent..! Truly a hidden gem! We will most definitely go back and tell our love ones!

Sliced Brisket Sandwich

Found a hidden gem while gearing up for our 9-hour drive! My husband had the brisket sandwich and said it was the moistest brisket he's ever had and they didn't skimp on the meat!Leo was incredibly kind and made us feel like we were dining in his own home. Chef's kiss!

I'm visiting Texas so you know we had to hit up a BBQ spot. Guillory's was the top recommendation on Yelp so we tried it. It's located in a plaza with other establishments so parking was abundant. There is an initial ordering place and then a separate room to sit down and dine. We ordered to-go, and it was really fast! Walking in, we didn't know what to order so the cashier and another worker helped us decide. We decided on 1/2 pound for 3 meats: brisket, ribs, and sausage. Total was about $40! The brisket was so soft! The black skin threw me for a loop as I've never eaten anything really truly smoked but there was no burnt taste, only soft, tender, juicy brisket. The sausage was my personal favorite, I'd love to throw these in a seafood boil. Sweet and salty, perfect snap texture. The ribs were soft and sweet. It was a little too sweet for me but others in my group liked it. Last of all, the service was the best! The two workers helped recommend what places to hit as my mom was craving gumbo. Super welcoming and kind, please give this place a try!

Brisket plate with coke slaw and not so great dirty rice

Mixed feelings on this one. I feel that it this should be advertised as more of a Cajun Bar-B-Que place. We ordered the brisket plate, the 3 ribs plate and the loaded potato with sausage. Person who ordered the brisket plate was happy with the meat part & coleslaw. The dirty rice was not what we are used to. I ordered the 3 ribs plate and instead got a chicken, sausage and 2 ribs plate. They did good and brought me extra ribs. They had a good flavor but did not care for the spicy sauce. The dirty rice was disappointing too. The person that ordered the loaded potato was really disappointed. The loaded potato was not what we are used too. It was more like meat on mashed potatoes and the sausage was spici

Oh, man. The universe was really looking out for me when I happened to be in the area and Google for some food. I was not expecting to eat this well today. In my opinion, Houston hasn't become known as a food mecca because of fine dining or all of the other well-known bbq spots that are good at marketing themselves like Blood Bros, Pinkerton, etc. Houston has become a food mecca off of the strength of places like Guillory's that are located in not well-known areas or places that get a lot of traffic, but serve the best food you could imagine. This is not a knock on those other places, but their brisket does not top Guillory's. It's not even close. Everything I ordered is on point, but WOW, the brisket! I got moist brisket despite forgetting to ask, thanks to the owner, who is so kind and has such good energy. I can't believe I'm saying this, but this brisket is more juicy and flavorful than even Franklin's BBQ in Austin. No BS. Bless you Guillory's for blessing my stomach with this goodness today. This business is also vet-owned, so bless you for that, too. I WILL be back. That is a guarantee.

You can smell the BBQ when you get out of your car and walk to the door! Best ribs I ever had! I'm a side person with my bbq and we tried the baked beans, slaw, and potato salad! All were really good! The owner and his son were extremely nice and make sure we had everything we needed. If you are ever in the area, you definitely need to check them out! Awesome food with awesome customer service!

Guillory's BBQ is an all around great restaurant. From the food to customer service, all of my dining expectations were met. The father and son duo that own and operate the restaurant are so personable, kind, and funny. They genuinely cared how our dining experience was going and had great conversation. Now onto the food! The brisket loaded potato gets a 10/10 from me. The brisket is perfectly seasoned and the bbq sauce on it is very tasty. I would never think to combine brisket and a baked potato but I was very impressed with this dish. The ribs, potato salad and beans were all very tasty. The potato salad was phenomenal and the beans had a bit of a kick that I liked. The peach cobbler was served warm and fresh. The lemonade tasted good & natural! They also make everything from scratch so you know it tastes better!

The BBQ is great. This is where a lot of locals go for BBQ. The prices are very reasonable.

A 2-year Michellin star BBQ joint was a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. My friends and I got there around 10am and were lucky enough to grab a number. The number secures your spot in line but don't worry if you show up and they run out, there's a spot on the porch where the non-number line starts. We ordered moist brisket, garlic sausage, and the beef rib. For sides, we went with mac and cheese and beans. Everything was superb! The brisket melted in your mouth, no knife needed. The sausage had a nice snap to it and get great flavor. The bark on the beef rib was *chef's kiss*. The mac and cheese was creamy while the beans had a nice sweet and tangy flavor. The service is also great! While we were eating, staff would regularly check all of the tables to check if anyone needed anything. The staff taking our order also chatted with us about other BBQ spots we've been to. Everything was such a great experience and the quality of the food is 100/10!

We went on a Saturday and showed up around 10:45, the line was definitely long and our wait was about 45 minutes. While waiting outside there is water and also employees coming around asking people if they wanted to purchase drinks. Once we made it inside, the gentleman who took our order was funny and kind. All of the employees were very friendly and helpful. My fiancée is a lover of BBQ so he wanted to order almost everything on the menu. We ordered brisket, garlic sausage, pork ribs, the whole chicken, baked beans, Mac and cheese, and apple cobbler. My favorites were the pork ribs and apple cobblers. His favorites were the ribs, brisket, cobbler, and baked beans. I loved the cobbler so much I placed an additional order to go.

My partner had the brisket sandwich with potato salad and a small helping of pickles and pickled red onions and I had the pulled pork tacos. My partner said the brisket sandwich was okay, but we both agreed that the potato salad was fantastic! The potato salad was way better than the one at Pappas Barbecue. The taste of the pulled pork tacos was great, but it was honestly too wet and made the flour tortillas too soggy and there was way too much coleslaw on top. I feel like if Killen's is going to serve pulled pork tacos there needs to be three things done. 1. Serve the tacos with an option of corn tortillas because I feel corn tortillas would've worked better to give a great contrast/pairing with the sweetness of the pulled pork and sauce. 2. Serve the corn/flour tortillas on the side so that they don't get soggy and wet. 3. There are some things that just don't belong on a taco of any kind and that's coleslaw. My partner and I also tasted the banana pudding and to say it was divine is an understatement. What I really like about this pudding was that you could taste real bananas in this pudding and it had been mixed well all together. Our total was $80 after tipping, which is a little pricey for some of the items, but honestly I would definitely come back to Killen's Barbecue when I was in the mood for barbecue.

I love Texas BBQ so I've been to all the Austin, Dallas, and Houston spots especially on Texas Monthly. Brisket was dry, chicken was brined for a little too long and gave a tire texture. Potato salad was too wet, too fatty, and didn't provide the acidity to contrast the fat. The sausage was decent, I give 4/5 stars. It was thick, juicy, and was similar to other places such as Truth, Corkscrew, Terry Black's, etc. The elotes was also too acidic for my liking and the cheese on top didn't mix well with the dish. Finally, the brisket was just ok. I must've gotten a lean piece because it had the texture of chicken thighs. The bark wasn't flavorful or smoky. Barbecue sauce was what I expected. Worchestchire, ketchup, and brown sugar elements make up for an average BBQ spot. Overall, I would come back and order 10 of the brisket egg rolls and call it a meal.
