Ended up making a purchase. Family run business with a total of 4 separate stores on the same street; Two side by side under this business name which the owner Chantelle started in 1998 and two that her son and daughter run under their own business names just right down the street (I think named old fashioned). The two stores under this business name are divided by brand names. These original stores have a lot more inventory than the other two stores it seemed. Chantelle, aurora and the other lady (I forgot her name) were all very friendly and welcoming and answered all my questions. I was very satisfied with my purchase. Will definitely stop by again when I am in the area! Only thing that could have been better was the tote I purchased didn't have a big enough dust cover to cover it all the way. I didn't realize this until I opened up the sealed shopping bag. So, I wish I had checked it before leaving as it would have been nice to have a dust bag that covered the entire tote...

I arrived early one Saturday morning to offer an Hermès shawl for sale…read more The young woman at the reception desk told me it was by appointment only, which wasn't mentioned on their website. She called someone who didn't even bother to come and see the shawl because she supposedly had too many appointments. What a lack of courtesy and manners! A wasted trip. As it happened, I was wearing another Hermès shawl around my neck, the label of which had come undone. Since I wasn't far away, I walked to the Hermès store where I was received with class and where the seamstresses have restored the stitching on my shawl. Ladies at Valois Vintage, you have the products that people like me bring in to keep your business going, but you don't have the class of the high-end brands whose secondhand items you sell. I'll sell my shawl elsewhere.

Could be a win for you, or you can be overcharged, just depends how they are feeling that day I suppose.. On average womens top can be 4-5 euros, scarfs 1,50-2 euro, jeans/pants 4-8 euros bras from3 euros and smaller knick knack or kitchenware items from 1euro to 5 euros. Books and dvds on average are .50 cents to 2euros. Overall i thought this location was very reasonable and cheap, staff was friendly for french standards and the store is well laid out, clean, organized, and bright. The only real annoyance about this location is the limiting hours. The area it is in is also good for wandering, eating and doing some other shopping.

Wish I could give a lower rating that this place deserves. I would avoid this place at all costs…read more I asked a price for some item and the lady at the counter told me to look around so they could price the item. I come back and was told $5.50. I reiterate the price $5.50. She repeats back $5.50. I tap my card and go. I check my card history and see that the charge is $12.50. I right away go back to the store. I ask the lady and she says she said $12.50 all along. I tell her that she told me $5.50. She says no. She then says she said $12.50. Making it seem like I misheard her because of the language barrier. Which is not true. She did say $5.50 and proceeded to up charge me to pocket the extra $7.50 which is more than double the quoted price. I asked if I could return the item. She immediately says no. I start to leave. She says come back and proceeds to count some change. She says "the best I can do is give you $3.50" back. So I take the money and leave. I count the money as I am walking and find out that she only gave me $2.50. She lies again. I would never ever go to this location of Emmaus or any other Emmaus for that matter. This place is burned. Best advice I would give to anyone about this store is avoid it like the plague.
