Guerilla Organics provides a great service. The boxes are always super well packed, the produce is amazing quality and there is a great variety. You always get some seasonal staples and then there are usually a few unusual selections. I've learned so much about vegetables and what's in season in the Bay by getting these deliveries! It was always so much fun getting the box and then planning our meals for the week. If there's something really special in the box, Martha will often send an email with some facts and recipes which was always appreciated. And Martha, who does the deliveries is such a delight. Very personable and always delivers with care. They have also always been super flexible regarding travel and holding deliveries, easy just to email or text your requirements. Just realized I already left a review in 2021 which I did not remember but goes to show how much I love this service! read more

I've only been getting produce delivery from Guerilla Organics for a couple months, but I'm so impressed at the quality for the price. I always look forward to my produce delivery. And I love the encouragement I get to try new vegetables, in new ways. read more

Really nice service, Martha always delivers the boxes with care and a smile. Love that they don't pack items with plastic bags. Good selection of seasonal fruits and veggies. Signing up was a bit of a strange process, but once everything got set up it was great! read more

Just got my first delivery from Guerrilla Organics and had a chance to meet Martha. Oh my goodness!! The produce is abundant and beautiful: watermelon, collards, tomatoes, summer squash, broccoli, beets, grapefruit, pluot, nectarines, little potatoes and a head of lettuce. All in one box. I'm normally not home, so Martha had even spritzed inside the box to help it all beat the heat. I'm already a huge fan. Great value, kind service and yummy eats. read more

Guerrilla Organics - This week's delivery. - CSA Near Me

Martha and Mark are THE reason I eat healthy, not only due to getting fresh veggies and fruits delivered literally to my door, but also from the fact that you get a wonderful variety of items that give you the full spectrum of the vitamins and minerals we all need. Have been getting their boxes for years, but the wonderful feeling of opening a box and seeing the bounty that's inside has and will never get old. read more

Martha and the team behind Guerrilla Organics are fantastic. They put together a great mix of fruits and veggies, send recipe ideas via email and minimize/reuse packaging. Moreover, they allow for (1) some customization based on your preferences - perfect for slightly pickier eaters and (2) delivery every 2 weeks - prefect for 1 or 2 person households and (3) they deliver straight to your door. If you're looking to try CSAs for the first time or looking for a CSA option where you have more variety week to week, this is a great option! read more

We've been getting food from Guerilla Organics for about 15 years, and they are so wonderful in every possible way. Fruit and vegetables are of the highest quality, and Martha and Mark are very communicative, always checking in on delivery dates and holidays. They even share recipes, which is a big help as we're introduced to new foods! I couldn't recommend them more highly. If you're looking for a reliable source of the best organic fruit and veggies out there, go Guerilla! read more

I rarely write a review... But I am doing it now because my husband's recent comment reminds my appreciation toward to Guerrilla Organics. I am (as a freelance architect) always at/back home earlier than my husband, so I have been "the food and fridge manager" forever. Last Tuesday, my husband felt sick and head home early. He managed to find the box securely hidden in a bush at our building's front-yard, and he was so amazed by the beautiful abundant box : 1 bunch of kale 3 bunches of bok choy 3 big tomatoes, 1 basket of baby tomatoes 1 jicama 2 onions 3 peaches 2 pearls 3 corns 1 yellow bell pepper 1 basket of strawberries 1 grapefruit 1 cucumber He excitedly told me again and again (almost forgot that he was having flu) as the products are so very fresh and abundant. Martha also intentionally put the box under shade, added extra leaves to cover the items to keep them well moisturized. I told him those facts many times but never got his much attention. He has not got to see and open the box for a while. So there are 2 tips: 1/ Do not keep the joy of opening the box to yourself, share to double that joy :) :) 2/ Do not talk to get your partner's attention, show it instead. We have been getting the service for 1 year and really love the way they take care of everything: from meticulous choice for super fresh products, well-balanced (They are great cooks I guess) to informative recipes; from customizing box based on our favorites to details of how items sit nicely all together in a box. We have never had any problem with schedule or invoice. Martha printed invoices for the first boxes then I prefer paperless and she is great on both email & phone. We never expect them to run their business as CEOs of a high-tech company. But we are delighted to know Mark and Martha who really put their souls into their works! read more

When our previous CSA closed their program, a neighbor referred us to Guerrilla Organics, and I am really happy she did. We get a diverse selection of local fruits and veggies in our box, and they are always clean, fresh and delicious looking, and delivered right to our door. They reuse the boxes and avoid plastic packaging. Martha's email communications about unusual items or interesting selections are always helpful and she includes recipes. She also pays careful attention to the likes and dislikes of her customers - I am always happy to eat what's in our box. I also don't get bored from getting the same thing every week, like i used to with our old service. Since COVID, Martha has done everything imaginable to ensure the safety of everyone involved. I couldn't be happier with this service. read more

I never write reviews, but I want to support this business and COULD NOT BE HAPPIER! I've been looking for a grocery delivery services for MONTHS and just couldn't pull the trigger. I had a few criteria, I wanted it to be a small/family owned business, I wanted it to be local and not big box deliveries like Amazon. I needed it to be easy and thoughtless. I toyed with the idea of Instacart and New Eggs, but I don't want to pick all the items individually. I'm trying to streamline my life; just give me a week of groceries with vegetables and fruits that are delicious. I wanted it to be affordable. Wa-la! Guerilla Organics. My second box just arrived, delivered by hand from Martha. We greeted each other by name. She remembered my husbands name. My very first box, they gave us a loaf of bread, a CD and a handwritten note. Where do you get this type of service anymore??? I'm not disappointed with my second box either. A ton of vegetables and fruits, all delicious, lots of flavor, all fresh and delivered to your door. I absolutely HATE grocery shopping, and now, I'm excited about groceries again! They are so so affordable and taste better than groceries at Whole Foods, at a fraction of the cost. Their website is super easy. You pick from a handful of options, vegetables and fruit, fruit only, raw only, etc. Pick the delivery preference (weekly, bi-weekly), pay and you're done. I absolutely love them. I'm going to be recommending them to all my friends. Thank you so much, Guerrilla Organics!!! read more

Guerrilla Organics - 2nd, box and I couldn't be happier. My criteria was lots and fruit and she delivered. Also the cutest...squash..? :) - CSA Near Me

Super awesome service. We've been getting their produce for a long time now. Love the choice of local and organic. Like clockwork comes every Thursday, never miss a week, and I can cancel for the weeks we are not home with just a quick email. Love not having to puzzle over what is the best possible produce at the grocery store or the farmers market. Guerrilla Organics does it for me! Awesome! Super fresh, how do they do that? like it was picked that day! Always the best stuff. read more

Guerilla is not especially organized. The customer service, delivery schedule, and communication was not smooth leaving our household to wonder if buying our own produce would be easier. A monthly invoice in the box would help everyone keep track. Our box was mostly fresh but the box makers are stingy--think one tiny mango and five massive russet potatoes. I'm not sure these folks are dishonest but I'd unclick the box if I could. read more

If you are looking for great organic produce, this is the spot! I wanted to reduce my time shopping in stores because of the pandemic, and heard about GO from a mom's group. Martha is great to work with, and would send reminder texts to leave our produce box out for re-use as well as recipes in emails. Highly recommend! read more

Martha is a weekly ray of sunshine at our house! Great vegetable choices, very conscious of what she brings, and always very communicative.

We've been customers of Guerrilla Organics for many years now. Fruit and vegetables are high quality, and we enjoy the range of produce. You can indicate what you want, or don't want. Before I started using the service, I found myself buying the same kinds of produce when I went to the store. I love that Martha and Mark select a variety of items, including unique varieties of produce, like Reed avocados or Salanova lettuce. I find we're eating a much wider range of produce, and I'm always excited to see what is in the box. Martha and Mark share recipes and recommendations. Beyond this, Martha, who delivers to us, is a lovely person, who we look forward to seeing every week. read more

Guerilla Organics is amazing and brings fresh fruits and veggies weekly! It's been a huge help during the pandemic. Martha will adjust your box based on your preferences, so you get what you want plus some unique fruits or veggies that you might not otherwise get on your own! Highly recommend! read more

Eating organically is the most important component of my diet--and sometimes, the most expensive.... Guerrilla Organics delivers a customized box of awesome produce that is considerably less costly than what you find in the organic section at the supermarket. Mark and Martha both enjoy discerning your taste and catering to it. I enjoy getting items I rarely see or wouldn't get for myself, and have been pleasantly surprised by finding dandelion greens; heirloom varieties of turnips, potatoes, eggplant, etc.; cherimoyas, pomelos, daikon. I have a garden as well, and it's a bonus to be able to tell them I don't need vegetables i have plenty of, and them add them back on when the season ends. As an artist and activist, I love knowing that I am also supporting two hardworking artists, and if you get the chance to see them perform, together or independently, (Martha is a butoh artist and Mark is mindblowing musician that performs the Bazantar, an upright bass modified with sympathetic strings to drone like a sitar), check them out! read more

guerilla organics is a small, local, and wonderful home-delivery produce box! they really take customer service serioulsy and to the next level, with extra care and attention to delivery, tailoring the items to personal preference, and reliably high quality organic fruit and veg...at a very reasonable price. martha is friendly, communicative, and 'always there' for the customers, with information about the more unusual produce and suggestions for recipes. what else could you ask for? highly recommend! read more

LOVE Guerrilla Organics. We get a beautiful box of high-quality organic produce each week, delivered to right to our door (Martha insists on bringing it right to our door despite the 50 stairs that entails!). Martha is a delight; her text messages always make me smile, she sometimes throws in jokes with her delivery, and she has been super-responsive when we have made changes to our delivery schedule. We love the free CD we got when we signed up! This is a business we feel really good about supporting, on top of the delicious plums, bananas, avocados, kale, collards, lettuce, citrus, squash, etc... it's like giving a gift to our household each week. read more

We choose to go with GO because they are a grassroots business and would deliver to me and my neighbors, whom I got their name from. The deliveries were in the evening and always on time. Martha is a great asset to the company because she is friendly, hard working and had recipes for us in emails. This is a great company during this time, or even for Nana who would like that extra delicious delivery on her doorstep, new parents even working families. read more

We were really happy with the quality and variety of Gorilla's Organics produce. They offer a good mix of fruit, greens and veggies. The boxes are well packed, the items are placed in reusable mesh bags and there is written information regarding the properties and health benefits of the fruits or vegetables you may not be too familiar with. What we most appreciated was that we were able to provide a list of likes and dislikes which allowed us a basket tailored to our tastes. The owners are friendly, the ordering process is easy and the deliveries are prompt. Highly recommended. read more

There is nothing better to come home to than a beautiful box of organic produce sitting on your front porch! .... okay maybe if there was a hot man in the kitchen cooking the organic produce that would be better....but all in all this is a great service. My first box was HUGE and had a great balance between fruits & veggies, and between things you can eat raw and the cook-ables. In total -- a small head of romaine, bag of spring greens, big bunch of spinach, small bunch of rainbow chard, a couple rainbow carrots, two beets, two zuchinni, huge head of cabbage, a bag of snap peas, 4 grapefuits, two white nectarines, a mango, pint of strawberries, a cantaloupe, 3 big tomatoes, 4 avocados. Total damage? $27.50. read more

I wanted to support this small business but was very disappointed. The produce I was given was not the best quality. Additionally, I was charged for not returning the used cardboard box the produce came in and was never told that if didn't return the box I'd be fined. When I cancelled the service there was no attempt to retain me as a customer. Instead I was greeted with rude comments. Which only confirmed, that cancelling the service was the right decision. read more

Guerrilla Organics is AMAZING! Their nice, big boxes allow you to shop local, save money on fruit and vegetables, and enlarge you culinary skills when you get exotic things like celeriac, bok choy, little purple potatoes, and other things. The produce is always fresh and bursting with flavor, and you can indicate your preferences in an e-mail (and also say if you'll be traveling). Martha is a joy to deal with -- she always has a smile on her face, sends wonderful e-mails with cooking ideas, and is always prompt and efficient with the delivery. I love the fact that we have casual conversations once in a while. Also, I love that, while I support artists while buying their groceries, Martha returns the favor by helping post flyers about my husband's creative writing class. Much better, more personalized and more exciting that going to Wholefoods and spending a "whole paycheck" on the same things! Thanks, Martha and Mark, for being such a wonderful business! read more

Fantastic service, quick to respond and a great variety of fresh, local veggies. Martha is so great and sends tips and links to recipes for the more obscure produce. Great people. read more

After trying out 5 different Bay Area farm boxes, we went with Guerrilla Organics. We have now been happy customers for one year. When we started, we were new parents, turning our weekly box into delicious baby food without a hassle trip to the grocery store, and now our toddler is a vegetable-loving fiend who loves to be the first to open the box on delivery day. The selection is customized, delicious, and always varied. Any time we have special needs around our busy travel schedule or changing vegetable desires, Martha at Guerrilla Organics is extraordinarily helpful and accommodating. We LOVE GUERRILLA ORGANICS! read more

We've really loved our boxes from Guerilla Organics. Martha is extremely personable and always pays attention to personal details. For example, we recently placed our deliveries on hold, yet PayPal charged us. Martha & Mark immediately noticed this, got in touch with us, and corrected it. They are awesome! Whenever I'd be lucky enough to be home while Martha swung by with delicious vegetables, it felt like a wonderful encounter with a beloved neighbor. Martha had a key to our outside gate. She'd first ring to see if we were home, but would key in to leave our box securely inside our gate if we weren't. The produce was seasonal & fresh. Definitely a great service! read more

I loved my first box! The produce was abundant, fresh and so beautiful and I really appreciated the variety. I don't know how they managed to put together such a diverse box in the middle of winter, but I am thrilled that they did. Everything has been absolutely delicious. And, it that isn't enough, our box included a very pleasant surprise. We opened out box to find both a roll and a loaf of fresh baked bread! I can't wait to see the next box, and I may have to change my order from bi-weekly to weekly. Thank you, Guerrilla! read more

this is great for people who don't have the time to go to the store. i would equate their produce to place like rainbow or whole foods. all i've gotten has been fresh, good variety, and the fruit very sweet. i found martha to be very friendly, accommodating, and a pleasure to interact with. i live in an apartment, and was able to give them a front door key which made things even easier since i didn't like the idea of having to hang around for it. i loved the surprise of different vegetables i didn't choose myself just magically showing up at my door and having extra free time! read more

I absolutely love Mark and Martha. My neighbors are incredible anal people and even the tiniest sound angers them, Mark and Martha have been incredibly respectful in coming and going from our building. I trust them completely and so appreciate the ease of giving them a key to our building so they can access our apartment even when I am not home. The produce is incredible and they send out an email with each basket delivery giving you info on the lesser known produce and yummy recipes to try out. Their pricing is beyond competitive and you have options regarding the produce you want. So happy I found this company! read more

The best organic produce in the city delivered to your doorstep. Truly diverse fresh & delicious! I save $80 a month by getting my produce delivered vs going to three grocery stores. I have been using Guerrilla Organics for about four months now, and I could be happier with Martha and Mark's service. Their high-level of personal attention and genuine compassion for their customers is apparent from today one. The quality and freshness of the food has also been top notch. I was a tad nervous to sign up for a box given my limited cooking experience, but Martha always sends out helpful tips and recipes whenever there is something the stretches the limits of my food knowledge. It's a great answer for busy schedules! read more

I've been subscribing to Guerilla Organics for several months now and the experience has been nothing but excellent. I enjoy coming home on delivery day to the box of beautifully chosen fresh organic fruits and vegetables at my apartment door. The produce is a good value and I use the time saved shopping to cook more, and subscribing to the boxes has had a good influence on my diet. The contents of the boxes (I receive the standard box) is diverse and well-balanced, including a wide variety of vegetables and fruits, and sometimes herbs. Mark an Martha are really nice and are really helpful when I change my subscription, and Martha often sends out emails with advice and information about the more unusual offerings in the week's box. read more

Guerrilla Organics was one of the first experiences I had of a local business in the Bay Area, one of many for which I have a deep respect. Since we started receiving boxes of fresh fruits and vegetables every week for a very affordable price, our palette has significantly expanded. Simply put, we're better off than we were before Guerrilla Organics (especially if you follow the maxim of "You are what you eat"). I recommend them to anyone in the Bay Area who wants an affordable CSA delivery service that will certainly expand your knowledge of foods and cuisine. The Guerrilla Organics people are also EXTREMELY pleasant to their customers, and their personal touch is deeply appreciated, since they're dealing with something very important to all of us - what we eat. read more

In all honesty, I can describe Guerrilla Organics in two words... THE BOMB!!! If you're in the market for organic produce delivered to your home on a regular basis, then Guerrilla Organics is definitely the way to go. Not only do you get a desirable variety of locally grown organic fruits and vegetables, but you're also supporting a locally run business comprised of two amazingly brilliant people- Mark Deutsch and Martha Matsuda. I've signed up with other produce box delivery services in the past but nothing compares to the warm and personable interaction I get from Mark and Martha. Seriously, do yourself a favor and check out Guerrilla Organics... You will NOT be disappointed. read more

I LOVE getting boxes from Guerrilla! The abundance and variety has been fantastic, and always something a little off my beaten path that I might not have bothered to pick up myself but enjoy like crazy: patty pan squash, rutabega, exquisite dinosaur egg pluots, cauliflower... I like these boxes more than the other (huge) box company I have dealt with because I don't feel like I'm just getting the same food I could have gotten myself at the grocery store. Martha has been sensitive to my requests, including needing to skip a week, attentive to food preferences and tendencies, efficient, reliable, and great to communicate with. Dealing with them feels organic, like part of the community, rather than feeling like I'm dealing with a corporate megalith. Love the emails with recipes, links to interesting articles, and information that makes making dinner way more fun. I look forward to Thursdays when I know there will be a box on my porch! read more
