Gucci holds a definite place in my heart and memories! My first expensive bag was a Dooney and Bourke Small Black Leather Bucket Bag. My daughter inherited it now. BUT I always said my daughter came out of my womb carrying a handbag or a shoulder bag. AND naturally when she was a preteen going to the mall she spotted a Gucci in the Gucci store. She wanted it bad and it was $150 or more a lot at the time for a single parent. Definitely Out of the question! Ultimately I helped her make an arrangement with the store. What we did would be unheard of these days. It was basically put in lay away. Every week when my daughter received her $5 allowance and all birthday and holiday cash gifts the money went to her Gucci bag. Finally 6 months later with her Xmas money she had her first Gucci! Sorry you may not get to see a photo because she must have 100 designer handbags collected over the years. Lots are up in the closet and everywhere. I went in to the Gucci store to buy myself a gift for my 50th birthday. I was greeted warmly by a sales rep named Frederico. He did not rush me or pressure me into buying anything. Instead, he was engaging, friendly and did not judge me for what I was wearing (I was still jet lagged and did not look or feel my best on this day). Regardless, Frederico treated me like I was his top client. He helped me pick out a beautiful piece and even had me try the beautiful python bag that caught my eye. Frederico is a gem and a true asset to the Gucci family. I went to visit other high end stores that day, and no other store treated me with such kindness. Thank you Frederico! My next visit to Milan, I will see you and hopefully purchase that beautiful python bag! :) read more

Gucci gang Gucci gang?! Not really. When in Milan ~ Gucci!! I'm a huge fan of many things. I like Gucci. The shoes are always so much more comfortable than other designers. Watches. Sunglasses! Belts! Plan was to get myself another Chanel bag for my birthday. But since I'm in Milan! The Gucci flagship!! I went for it! And it was all that and a bag of chips!! The multi levels flagship with made to order shoes!! Customizable goodies! Right in the galleria vittorio Emanuel! Really, what's not to love. I was going to the duomo for a drink but got a drink here instead!! Grazie, Vian!!! #Italianstyle The store was crawling with so many people! So many! I walked in with my disco ball dress! Casually! Spoke Italian to the most Italian lady! And viola! She asked someone to bring me a bottle of bubbles!! Auguri!! Woot woot! Grazie! I already have an idea of what I want so the buying process was less than 5 minutes. Gucci marmont large? Wallet? With matching minis?? I'll take all 3!! Bags are $2000 -$3500. Which is super reasonable. Can't get any in Chanel. The items are tax included so you can get a VAT tax refund at the airport. They fill out the whole the forms and envelopes for you! Just have to go to the airport and drop it at the last European airport before going home! You get about 19 % back! So do that!! Bottomless bubbles however were the best part! Spent a good half hour drinking!! Grazie grazie!! Italians do do it better! I maybe overly biased! But we do! read more
