Was going to host an event here for a high profile client that required extended and specific security requirements. The owner told us he wouldn't relinquish control of security in case he had to keep the doors shut if we didn't pay, and that we had to go through him for any security requests (we had to pay for security). Upon releasing the hold on the venue, we got the photo attached. He also requires you to use preferred partners for companies he owns so he can make more $$ It's giving crook!!

This place is very beautiful. The outdoor of the building and the service is spectacular. I was fortunate enough to attend for an award ceremony. I enjoyed the food and bar selection. This would be a great place for wedding although it would be extremely expensive.

Guastavino's is situated under 59th street bridge in New York City . The architecture is the actual bridge used to create this place. The acoustics are so good , you don't hear any vehicles going on top. The service is amazing and place is very spacious. Restrooms are also huge for New York City standards. Food was nice. Visited this place for a company event .

Guastavino's is a magnificent venue! I came here for a non-profit benefit event and was blown away by the architecture and seamless service provided by the staff. The space is located underneath the iconic Queensboro bridge, with a an iconic arching arcade ceiling designed by the architect Rafael Guastavino. The 2-floor venue is very spacious and easy to navigate. The AV staff, people running the coat check, and the servers/bartenders were all very adept at their jobs. There was even an attendant running the bathroom. I was also impressed with the food! Steamed dumplings, charcuterie, braised beef, and a wide variety of aperitifs were served at various points throughout the night. Although I did not take advantage of the open bar, many of my colleagues did and seemed pleased with their drinks. This would be a fantastic place to have a corporate gala or wedding!

What a wonderful way to return to socializing after the pandemic! I attended a benefit/fundraising event at Guastavino's and they exceeded my expectations. The space is wonderful as it incorporates elements of the Queensboro Bridge into the interior architecture. So the structural elements are original features of the bridge which lends a grand feel to the space. the decor is also classically wonderful. The staff -from the coat check to the servers- are very attentive and friendly. The bartenders served up some of the best cocktails I've had in a while. My evening here left me thinking we should do this annual benefit twice/year ...

Company Holiday Party was held @ Guastavino's on 11/7/17. Well let's be honest this place is pretty legendary as a premier NYC event space. They have established a great name for themselves as far as the location, uniquely tucked under 59th street bridge. The building, with all the architecture details. The attention to details, the gentleman outside to greet you with an umbrella in the rain, all decked out as the official first face of Guastavino's you will encounter to start your spectacular night. No matter what event you are there to attend. The inside, spacious and elegant but still room to add decorating details for what ever company would like to put their on signature their event. The holiday Party was wonderfully and flowed really well this is not my company's first go at it, but everything still ran smoothly with Guastavino's staff. Coat check, cocktail hour and bar service all went very well. There were a couple of things that did surprise me however. Sad to say I was not impressed by the food at all. That was disappointing, I was hopping to be wowed or at the bare minimum just being pleased would have done. The upstairs were the small but usable dance floor is located (that means the main entertainment) was not organized well to accommodate all the activities that were simultaneously taking place. There wasn't enough seating and where there were seats people were hovering over you and trying to squeeze by to get the food, bars, dance floor or picture activities. Needless to say I had a wonderful time.

I DO NOT recommend the new year's eve event here. Got to the event right at 9pm (when it started) and had to wait outside in line for OVER an hour. Once in, we could not find any of the appetizers that were advertised as part of the ticket and while it was "open bar" certain bartenders would not serve you until you showed proof of tip. Overall the disorganization and false advertising made this event a total waste of money unfortunately.

I can't really comment on anything but the decor/ambiance and staff of Guastavino's - I sang a wedding here this past September. The architecture is absolutely gorgeous! It was definitely a beautiful venue to have a wedding. The bride and groom had separate suites. The staff seemed friendly and helpful - I especially appreciated the older gentleman that went out of his way to serve me a glass of water (I was seated out of the way for my portion of the ceremony). The only obvious negative? The bathrooms on the first floor were disgusting - tissue all over the floor, uncleaned toilets. For a place of this magnitude, you would think they could clean a bathroom correctly! The ceremony was beautiful. Great choice!

Yes, the views are amazing, however the weather has to be just perfect. Especially if you plan to use the outdoor patio. Which, why wouldn't you? The space itself is not for large groups, wedding party size approximately 50. Plus the wait, bar & other service staff. The location is prime, if you plan to take a car, remember this is NYC & traffic is bad. You can probably walk faster than a cab or car service. Especially during the month of December. NYC gets more visitors in December than all year long. The venue has 2 bathrooms for women which is not good, however worked for this crowd. Think of this location as a once in a lifetime, only if you have the funds for this location. As guests we were thrilled to be invited to such a lavish wedding!

Rooftop wedding in the heart of Manhattan with incredible views of St. Patrick's Cathedral & Rockefeller Center. What more could you ask for? It's makes for one incredible experience for not just the bride and groom, but for all of the guests who are always completely blown away. As close as it is to being perfect, there are few things to keep in mind: 1. If the weather doesn't cooperate (as it didn't during the wedding I shot there, when it rained right before the ceremony), the main garden does get quite soggy. It got bad enough that the bride had to walk around the guests via the outer walkway instead of through the middle. Definitely not the ideal way to make an entrance. 2. The inside is as simple as it gets, so it's really up to you(r planner) to make it something amazing. Basically, picture a clean, white room; a blank slate. If minimalism is your thing (as is with me), then you'll love it. Otherwise, plan to get creative! 3. Space. It's definitely not for large events. Even for smaller weddings, the cocktail hour gets quite cramped. But if you're planning on getting married here, you know that already. From a solely photographer's perspective, while it does make possible some absolutely stunning shots (one of my favorite images was taken here, which you can see in the Photos section), the size of the venue as well as the blank indoor space does limit how creative you can get. If you're looking to get a wide variety of photos, I'd highly suggest you stop by another location for or after the First Look and get portraits before heading to 620 Loft and Garden. If you're set on getting married here, a gallery of a real wedding from 620 Loft and Garden is up on my site, so feel free to check it out for some wedding ideas!

Why, stop by the Holiday Home of course!! Held in a historical mansion on the Upper East Side of New York City, come prepared to be inspired and enchanted as you walk through the house, each room designed by a different interior designer, to a different holiday theme (think, New Year's Eve, St Pattys, Christmas etc) or special moment in life. Every single room here is SO gorgeous, with furniture from some of the most luxurious brands in the world. As I walked through the rooms, I imagined what it would be like to live in a house like this, a life of luxury, with cocktails at 3 and constant dinner parties. And if you're one of the lucky few who can actually afford to live in a house like this, then the Holiday Home would serve as a life sized inspiration board for you... You get a catalog at the entrance and it serves as a reference to any piece of furniture displayed in the house. The designers themselves are also there in their respective rooms and are more than happy to talk to you about their work / offer to come design your house (if that's what you're looking for). It is a $35 entrance fee that goes towards the Breast Cancer Foundation, though, even if it didn't, so worth it getting to spend an afternoon in the shoes of an Upper East Sider. Lastly, everyone's so incredibly nice (you'd expect them to be snooty but there are absolutely no airs here), though, I would dress nice and perhaps not show up in sweats if I was gonna go. Haha. There is also an adorable little heated courtyard cafe that serves up ready made sandwiches, teas and (not so yummy) macaroons. But very nice and pretty to sit at. All in all, one of my favorite things we did in New York this past trip! Perfect for getting into the holiday mood (:

However, public transportation is right across the street - Grand Central, you have the subway and MetroNorth and walk 15min west to Port Authority. They didn't cheap out on the furniture either. The seats were comfortable and the flatware was very nice, with the Cipriani logo along the top of the plates. The food was excellent. This is usually where almost all banquet halls breakdown somewhere. Whether it is pasta, sides, meat or fish, something just doesn't work. Not the case here, as you would expect from Cipriani. The food was excellent across the board. The pastas, vegetables, potatoes and the meat were excellent. The beef was exceptional for banquet-style dining. Desserts were very good, too. On top of all of this, their staff was swarming around, clearing plates, offering to refill waters, keeping the place clean, etc. - they were very attentive. Cipriani really did an excellent job running our holiday party. I highly recommend them.
