We then had the owner/designer Carole H. come out to our property on July 14, 2025. We wanted an estimate on draperies and new furnishings for our living room and entry way. She spent time measuring the rooms and having a discussion with us. I gave her access to my Pinterest board to show her the looks that we liked and had an interest in exploring. We were completely prepared to spend a significant amount of money to have our living room and entryway redone and have custom draperies for the living room and the master bedroom. Carole shared when she came out on that Tuesday that she would be leaving for vacation on Friday. She stated that it would be 3 to 4 weeks before she would be able to get anything back to us. We were completely fine with that as we told her we were not in a hurry and 3 to 4 weeks would be fine. Jump ahead over seven weeks now, almost 8, and we have been completely ghosted. There has not been a single phone call, email, or text from Carole back to us with any status update on the project. This lack of engagement is completely unprofessional, and we are extremely upset and angry with the lack of professionalism. If this job was not something that she felt she could do perform or had the time to do, then a simple phone call, text or email saying that she was not able to do the job is all that we expect. Not every design is for everybody and if life interrupts and you are unable to do the job, I completely understand that. There is a level of communication that needs to occur when you run a business and there is a level of professionalism that is expected. We will happily take our money elsewhere!!!

Selena's was quick to respond to my request for quote and though they were running a little late to the initial appointment, they were thoughtful enough to call to say they were on the way and offered a revised ETA. Because I had already talked to some other cleaning services I had a pretty good idea what I was willing to pay and we were able to reach an agreement quickly. Selena's provides the supplies and equipment for cleaning your home. This was an area we discussed in depth as I do not allow any synthetic fragrance in my home. I'm happy to report that these ladies understood and when finished the place smelled clean and faintly of lemon. As they worked they listened to music quietly. very little conversation having to do with anything other than the work at hand was overheard. Periodically I would check an area and comment. Usually the comments were positive and complimentary. Occasionally, they were neutral and constructive. Hopefully voiced in a friendly way. For example; Ooops! missed a spot. What impressed me was the maturity with which this was received. No excuse was offered. No argument ensued. The offending item was fixed immediately and there might follow a discussion of how to better address the situation next time it came up. Just 2 confident parties learning the expectations of each other. Payment was preferred online through an app that I found confusing. But, Michelle was willing to walk me through it. Usually eager to learn something new I really appreciated her patience. So, impressed was I that we have set a regular time for them to clean going forward!!

I had to leave before they were finished (my daughter was here). Texted me to say they were done and to enjoy my chair. It didn't work and was in worse shape than before they came (not only did it not recline the back of the chair was not aligned). A friend recommended Blendals furniture repair (5738039549). They were in and out in less than an hour, my recliner now reclines.
