I wonder if they make the votives with cheaper materials for the tourists? Or I got a hold of old product? I'm glad I didn't buy more than one gift for myself here as I was about to go crazy and buy Christmas presents for everyone. I think I will stick with Nest Fragrances in NYC. Now their stuff THROWS. On my trip to France, I promised myself to find replacement curtains. There are many fabric stores in the same area where Fransi is located, but no one had the curtain quality I was looking for. Apparently, theres is a market for polyester cafe curtains, which I find very unappealing. As I gave up, I happened upon Fransi. The curtains on the outside were cheapish and dingy from being exposed to car pollution but I decided to go inside. The store appears to specialize in curtain type fabrics. The owners are a lovely couple who did their very best to find the right curtains for me. They showed me many samples and even pulled out what they thought I would like from the store room. Though I speak virtually no useful French, they understood some of my English. I ended up with 8 meters of a very reasonably priced cafe curtain fabric. I am very happy with my purchase and even more happy with the kindness of the owners of this business. I know this is mostly just business people making a sale, but they were so accommodating and pleasant. BTW, There are also a lot of stores in the area to choose from but if you want curtain fabric, this is the spot.
