IIn my 30+ years, I've never not had a crown hurt for months (years) after. The next day, no pain at all. I couldn't believe it. Fast forward a few years. I needed another crown and I was actually googling to find him because I refused to see another dentist. I felt like I hit the jackpot when I learned he had his own dentistry and was just a few miles away. Even my daughter (19) who was traumatized from prior procedures, has had (fillings, crowns to a root canal) from Dr. Chu with no problem. Dr. Chu is a down to earth person, actually listens, goes slow and will use small needles for numbing. He truly cares for his customers. He goes the best route to save as much natural tooth as possible and that is significant. Fritz is wonderful and so is the whole staff. I no longer fear the dentist. I no longer have pain for months after a crown or root canal. The world needs more dentists like this and I'm so thankful we crossed paths. I recommend Dr. Chu and his team to everyone I know. At Snelling Ave Dental, I have always felt welcomed being there from checking in at the front desk to sitting in the patient's chair. Everyone is extremely friendly and loves chatting with patients when they're up for it. (Pro tip: Talk about food. They LOVE to try new foods and share their foodie experiences.) I've visited here for a total of 3-4 times over one year, and I like how seriously they take their work here. During checkups, the doctor informs me of ways to improve my brushing and the spots that might need more attention. Something that's super simple, but I've never been told by a dentist what spots I haven't been reaching. Besides checkups, I also had a mouthguard fitted because I constantly clench my teeth when I'm stressed. It was a pain-free process, and they checked my insurance coverage and gave me a quoted price before initiating the whole process. Their communication is amazing and there was no confusion. I'm really sad that I can no longer go to Snelling Ave Dental because I moved out-of-state recently, but I'm so happy that I was able to find a dentist that I was satisfied with.

She actually talks to you, and treats you like a human being instead of the human-conveyor-belt approach to healthcare that so many doctors engage in now. Additionally, I had a different doctor before with Chicago Fam Dental, and he was great as well. He answered all my questions, and never made me feel rushed. The hygiene staff were wonderful both times too. The hygienist made sure to double check my insurance so I didn't have any surprise bills, she was very gentle, and they were very kind each time I've been there. Chicago Family Dental is the best dentist office I've been to in more than a decade. I travel for work, so I'm always changing dentists. I've been to many, many dental practices, and I'll be sad to have to leave this place eventually. They are all gems here!

They had professional offices, planned to do the procedures in what I thought was the most professional way, and the Dentist was very experienced with this procedure. I've had the tooth removed and bone replacement graft. After waiting a few months for that to heal, Ive now had the surgical implant of the steel implant to support the new tooth. Since then I have had to go back in here and there for this and that. Everyone is always very nice. On Friday, I had a horrible tooth ache and feared they would not be able to squeeze me in on such short notice, but they did. The only thing that almost prevented me from trying this Dentist out was the fact that they do not offer nitrous-oxide. (laughing gas) But I quickly learned that if the Dentist is good at what he/she does, no nitrous is needed for comfort. I probably couldn't be more comfortable even with Nitrous. I've been to a lot of Dentists throughout my life but I will never go to any other Dentist as long as he still practices and I still live in Minnesota!
