My children are enrolled at Phorms Hamburg to start next August 2013. We live in New Zealand (I'm…read moreGerman) and although my children take part in a 1.5 hour German lesson once a week, they are far from fluent. This is the reason we are coming to Hamburg to live for 6 months, to help them become fluent. I am willing to pay the extremely high fees for my son's to attend Phorms but am alarmed to see a comment about how little their children have picked up of German since swapping to Phorms from an Integrated situation.
My concern is that I am paying top dollar for a top education when really all I am looking for is for them to be immersed in the language. I don't want to put them in a German Grundschule because they will feel lost and the aim is for them to enjoy their time in my home country. Do you think Phorms will fall short on the expectation that they will learn a lot of German? Also I have read about this Integration System, how does it work? Thanks for your help.
