It is the highest motorway of europe and a common weekend place for the people living around there. Even in early summer it is possible to see a lot of snow especially above 1800m elevation. A lot of hotspots to rest and take a breath while watch amazing mountains with snow on their tops and green and torquise colored lakes on their bottoms. On those spots there are some restaurants and cafes as well. It is always possible to see Alphine Marmots if you walk through the bushes. If you are lucky you will see some wild rams as well. The ticket for the road is about 35 euro and valid for all day. On winter time the condition of the road may not allow you to pass.
